Agreed. Makes my car look like complete sht. Makes me want to order lowering springs right now. lol

But I agree on the headlights. He would be better off with just the clear corner ones. However I love the overall look of it.

I personally hate the cobra taillights with the amber part.

I think those tails are the best looking mustang tails of all. The break up the lense more. I love them.

I'd rather have my tinted tails over them any day. Just a personal preference I suppose.

TDavis 04-17-2014 10:15 AM

Well you're obsessed with tinting tails, not as much as Chaos though so you're still good.

I agree with Sam tho.

lol this is true. Maybe they would look better to me on a non-red car? I dont know. Just something about red and orange in a taillight I hate. Had it on my truck and I tinted those in like 2 weeks. lol

He has more options, but as we know, the problem is circled on the grill! lol. Most people in my office have a King Ranch for their trucks. So they sit around and circle jerk about each others trucks lol

AaronGTR 04-17-2014 04:13 PM

Hey, Ford still makes a pretty darn good truck. I wouldn't pay for a King Ranch though, or a Big Horn or any of those fluffed up special editions. IMO a truck is supposed to be a durable work vehicle. It's not for luxury (unless you have a hole between your legs :P). As far as full size goes it's always between Ford, Chevy, and Dodge. The Nissan and Toyota wannabe's aren't worth sh!t.

Unfortunately when it comes to mid-size trucks it's the other way around. The Toyota Tacoma has pretty much been the best on the market for years and the only one on the market currently since Ford doesn't sell the Ranger here anymore. I'm actually interested in seeing the reviews and pricing on the new mid-size GM is releasing soon. Hopefully it's better than the last Canyon/Colorado. It's supposed to be available as an extended or crew cab and have an optional turbo-diesel V6. I'd be interested in that if the price was right. Mainly I don't want to pay near/more $50k for something for only occasional hauling.

tipnitty 04-17-2014 04:20 PM

Big Horn is the interior trim package, and is a must to me. Made the interior look so much better than the standard interior. I looked at the ford limited (white on white) trucks, but they are very expensive. And just a decent package ford alone was 10k more than I spent, none were worth the money to me.

I didn't even bother looking at the smaller trucks, needed the option of pulling my car when the time comes. A turbo-diesel v6 could have done it, but not a big fan of how the colorado/canyon looks.

I agree on the full sizes , except for the Toyota thing. The Tundra seems to be a pretty solid truck.

The Tacoma has been showing up in fleet service lately, and the drivers that transitioned out of Rangers seem to be very happy for the change. In my opinion, the domestic manufacturers haven't offered a truly fleet-worthy workhorse in the compact segment since the GM S/T chassis died.

xUnderCoverHoBo 04-17-2014 08:53 PM

How much did your truck cost you tip? Just curious, you dont have to disclose if you dont want.

It doesn't even begin to compare with the full size trucks from the big three though in terms of capabilities or durability.

But the TRD S/C'd tundra is nasty. Factory warrantied S/C that puts the truck into the low 12's... Freaking awesome, Just not a big fan of how they look ;crap
.

Not a fan of the ford vs chevy vs dodge vs blah blah debate bullsht that people go on about. A truck is a truck, people need to stfu with that debate already lol

Is that kinda like the mustang vs camaro debate? Or the corvette vs viper debate? Or the import vs domestic debate? A car is just a car too, right?

I'd take a Trans AM over a Camaro or mustang any day.

What i was meaning is that I hear about the truck debates probably 98% of the time rather then the car debates.

So, let's break this down then.

Because you're "annoyed" with truck debating, they should shut the hell up, but any other debates on brand vs brand not regarding a truck type is apparently acceptable.

Sure thing, sparky.

sleepyalero 04-18-2014 04:27 PM

Never said that either. Open your eyes and re-read what I said. Guess I should of been more specific for the feeble.

Because I rarely ever hear about the car debates and when I do it seems like it dies off quickly, yet with the truck ones it seems to keep going and going rather then dieing off quickly. I wasn't talking to anyone specific on this forum, just wanted to randomly post an observation that related to the truck world.

Guess I'll post and stop lurking for now. First pic kinda sucks because the stripes were wet

xUnderCoverHoBo 04-18-2014 11:09 PM

Hmm not a fan. Dont mesn to hate

NikolaCop 04-18-2014 11:30 PM

Its all good man, stripes and stuff is kind of a one kind of taste deal, most people like it or they dont, I wanted to try something other than the Ram Air hood, although yours looks clean, white GAs always look pretty nice

[ChaosweaveR] 04-19-2014 12:00 AM

Holy crap...way too much going on. That interior...ugh.

Blue calipers on a red car? lol

sleepyalero 04-19-2014 01:15 AM

Nikola. Just fyi these guys are hard headed. You will get lots of trash talk. Beware...

Pontiac_guy99 04-19-2014 07:01 AM

I like the door badges on the dash. Might look into that.

TDavis 04-19-2014 07:23 AM

Only thing I like are the wheels, other then that, too busy.

gtsouth 04-19-2014 07:52 AM

I had the GT door badge on my dash. Now it's the chrome and black gt. It looks good.

Please do not. So tasteless.

I've seen people do that before and my only question is, why? Are you afraid you're gonna forget what car you are driving. Only place badges belong is on the outside of the car, or in the trash can.

NikolaCop; a lot of people here will be brutally honest if they don't like your car. Take it as opinions because for the most part that's all they are. If you like your car that's what's important. Of course, don't discount input, especially if you are given some good ideas that you might like.

Me personally, I don't think it's that bad, but there is definitely too much going on as well. I used to have all my interior trim painted red too... got tired of it after a while, but if you still like it that's fine for you. I think the seat covers are too much though, and they look like cheap slip on covers and not actual fitted new upholstery. I've never liked those because, well... they look cheap and people can tell.

Not the biggest fan of that style projector headlight, but they aren't terrible. I don't like the silver hood stripes or the style of the fender hash marks either though. Something about them is weird. You should ditch the mickey mouse mirrors and get a set of paint matched dual posts if you can. Most people do that and it looks much better. Other than looking a little small, I have no problem with the wheels, and the blue brake caliper behind them actually doesn't look that bad. It's an interesting color combo, but it works with black/polished lip wheels.

Biggest thing though is, I'd get rid of that badge on the dash. It just screams tacky and desperate for attention.

NikolaCop 04-19-2014 08:42 AM

I appreciate all the input guys, and I was expecting brutal honesty, I assumed most wouldnt take to kindly to it around these parts, the stripes are actually black, just a bad photo. Yeah I plan on getting the double posted-mirrors because I dont like the "mickey-mouse" alero mirrors, but I appreciate the criticism Aaron, and thanks for the warning Sleepy lol

gtsouth 04-19-2014 09:23 AM

Here is what I have on my dash. I think it looks tasteful.
