Or he could just buy a brand new SC/T spoiler on eBay. That's how I got mine. There's a company that sells them brand new on eBay. They sell them primed and pre-painted if the buyer wants it.

^ This. They're not that hard to paint. Plus, GM used basic universal gloss black paint on the GA.

Official black name is black onyx ;)

Next thing you need to get better headlights. That sliver of front fender gap though lol. I hope when the springs settle they don't rub

the paint code for my 95 Z26 was the same as my GA. kinda funny when i looked at the stickers on both cars and the color was the same number.

Only badges on the passenger door? Debadge that sh!t.

Ditch the goofy ass china junk projectors and it'll be looking slick.

blckgagt 05-07-2014 02:25 PM

Didn't even notice the badges were only on one side.

99ga 05-07-2014 02:36 PM

it debaged itself..i will might as well debage it all, when i get a chance

TDavis 05-07-2014 02:46 PM

It doesn't take but 30min to debadge and get off the excess tape

There is no "correct way" to cut springs, regardless if they are linear or progressive. Besides the point that it's hard to measure and cut off the exact amount, and they won't sit in the pockets in the spring perches correctly anymore, most people also cut them with something like a die grinder, which makes heat and affects the temper of the spring. Another big point is that if you change the length of the spring that way you are still changing the effective spring rate as installed from what it was before, and you have no idea what that rate is.

Given the ease with which springs can be obtained from suspension vendors, eliminating many of the variables and 'guess work,' I admit there isn't much sense to cut coils in most situations -- new metal with known specs is a more attractive option than trying to 'fill in the blanks' after hacking a spring. I would, however, fall short of saying such practice is always unnecessary or incorrect. Engineer Herb Adams has advocated the practice (and with an oxyfuel torch, no less!) in print. As Mr. Adams was a key figure behind the Fire Am project and the RPO WS6 package, his opinion should carry some weight.

New brake pads came in, need to take some time to put those in. But decided to clean things up a bit under the hood and determine what I want want to do under hood. Have better idea of what I want to do now.

lol I already posted side pictures memba?

Ill get some close ups tomorrow if i dont forget

TDavis 05-07-2014 06:45 PM

Yeah I really hope after they settle they don't rub because your springs are just installed and are VERY close to the fender in the front.

It wouldn't matter if your wheels where sunk in a little since it would just flex against the splash guard but since yours are flush the tire would eat into the metal.

99ga 05-07-2014 06:56 PM

Yeah i know what you mean, but trust me, even tho you cant really see it, there is just about enough gap. Ive gone through some bumps a bit fast, and it slightly rubs into the splash guard, not the fender. I looked close and there is no marks of rubbing on both, tires, or fenders. So im good, for now. We'll see once they settle, but for now, i love how they flush

I've never heard of that guy. Everything I've ever read in print though says it's dangerous and not a good idea.

I agree it's a good way to make the hot rod hacker's most wanted list, although I can't say I've never done it. I hoped you were familiar with the fellow; it would have been fun to theorize why a chassis engineer with such resources would go on record advocating such.

what do you mean? are you talking about the tire/fender gap? or because its low?

TruGreenGAGT 05-07-2014 09:43 PM

The more I see your car the more I want to get spacers to bring my wheels out. Or sell my wheels and get what you have...

They look quite identical , you would have to lower the car ,get some 245/40 tires and that should do it. Or spend $13** for all four rims/tires new

TruGreenGAGT 05-07-2014 10:05 PM

My current tires are 225/40

99ga 05-07-2014 10:36 PM

Can you fit 245s? Dude you got money just sell those and and buy saleen wheels, youn wont even need spacers...

Btw your car isn't lowered right?

TruGreenGAGT 05-07-2014 10:40 PM

My wheels only 7.5" wide not 9" like your wheels. As for lowered my struts and springs still oem I believe

99ga 05-07-2014 10:56 PM

I see , oh well you still need some work done other than getting spacers or buying new wheels to get "that" look... be patient, tho. If you really want it, you'll get it..

TruGreenGAGT 05-07-2014 11:20 PM

lol if I want it I'll just buy it now.

but I'm fine with my look now
