True lol

tw0123 11-06-2014 12:57 PM

Mine's from condensation build up inside my portable garage... I'd love to have an actual garage to store the car... I'd even be happy to find a cheap enclosed trailer to use... :(

When people ask why I do so much to my car, what do I reply to them with? I mean compared to you guys I do nothing to my car. I only do little things. But everyone says that my car is "just fine" and that I shouldn't even put any time or money into it besides gas.

EDIT: some of them are my family. So no "fck off's". lol

TruGreenGAGT 11-07-2014 05:47 PM

I tell em "My money, my car, my time"

tipnitty 11-07-2014 06:40 PM

Car parts are cheap and legal to purchase, drugs aren't. So car parts it is.

sleepyalero 11-07-2014 06:48 PM

Lmao

TDavis 11-07-2014 07:21 PM

If its a girl be like. You look fine without makeup but you put it on anyway because you like to do so and it makes you look prettier. I make my car look good because I like to do it

I will say that to any girl who says that. Thanks!

Unfortunately, all of those are true except it's not my car.

Well your family might be trying to tell you to save up time and money because you need it for the real world. Your 15, i mean i dont know what bills and sht are like for you maybe you got a house already. My family said the same thing, because they didnt want to see me strugle like they had to and burn all my money on cars that are meant to do one thing (drive). In their mind maybe the only thing they want to see you mod, is a piece of paper using a crayola pen. So drive your car the way it is, and put that piece of paper on your dash and dream.

Prioritys vs desires. Thats cart before the horse buddy. Do your life in the right order. And maybe you will reap the benefits of your hard work.

Nothing wrong with a hobby. But don't let it take control. So you tell these people i'm budgeting my money responsibly, and spending a small portion of that on my hobby.

tipnitty 11-07-2014 08:42 PM

We are all wrong actually. I believe that we are just suppose to say "hater" until people get annoyed and give up.

Pontiac_guy99 11-07-2014 09:28 PM

The point of that was to ask you guys what I should say to my parents to let me get a different radio that works (I'm buying it myself).

They literally said when I got the car to save up for when something goes wrong on it. Now something did. And they won't let me fix it.

They probably meant something wrong as in mechanical. They probably think the radio isn't necessary and you should just drive around with no music.

But of course I can tell you, as someone who has had to drive work vehicles without radios all day.... driving around in silence for too long will driving you f**kin' crazy! lol

sleepyalero 11-08-2014 10:08 AM

Minus the wheels. I like the car.

NikolaCop 11-08-2014 10:10 AM

I drove from Chicago to Seattle without a radio and once I got half way through North Dakota I was practically asleep from boredom.

sleepyalero 11-08-2014 10:12 AM

I drove 15.5 hrs with no radio on. The exhaust system helps ;)

NikolaCop 11-08-2014 10:15 AM

I went 34 ish hours driving only listening to bugs splat on the window. Had to put some elbow into scraping those little guys off.

no, that doesn't "help". It gets annoying. Especially your exhaust. ;)

tipnitty 11-08-2014 11:26 AM

I don't drive to the gym without the radio on. You people are nuts.

Of course.
Continental extreme winter contact in 205/55R16.

TDavis 11-08-2014 02:10 PM

What would you prefer going between the Blizzak WS70s or the Continental extreme winter contacts?

I've been deciding between those two.

crazywinston01 11-08-2014 02:49 PM

I have hankook i*cept evo. Absolutely love them!! They cut the sht outta snow. I challenged them all season long last season. 13-14 season was tons worse then previous winters, so i really got the drive in on my second run with them. They all probably stack the same. Just saying good experience with those. I run 205/55/16

Blizzaks are good tires, but I prefer the Continentals because they are not directional, so I can rotate them properly and get maximum life out of them.

crazywinston01 11-08-2014 03:10 PM

Last year it just humored me cause, Im taking this n body car up hills in 6 inches of snow or more, meanwhile pansies at work are bailing out owning a gad dam 4x4. My car was gettin' some tang.

hven't even gotten a hint of snow in the forescast here.. mine are still sitting in the garage..plus the temps are still on the warmish side so all i would be doing in burning the tire down.

i almost can't wait for some so i can see how the nokian's do but i don't want the snow.lol

Already there. Parking right outside my room window on the second floor. As long as its dry and if it snows I'll park in the driveway. Can't park in the driveway for certain reasons during the weekdays.

Keyword right there.

My headlights kept fogging up in cool temperature, whether I needed more ventilation or not taking those out let my headlights breathe more and since then haven't fogged. Of course I fabricated some breather tubes so water will not get inside of the hole. But yeah can't take the lens off, if I could I'd paint that area flat black so it doesn't pop as much but no one even notices without looking hard surprisingly. Took the headlights out prior 2312 times to reseal them, bulb seals are good, so that could be the only consideration.

Not to mention that LED was a darker orange then the turn signal so it didn't flow well lol.

TruGreenGAGT 11-09-2014 06:08 PM

Use white led

TDavis 11-09-2014 06:44 PM

My car is about flow. White turn signals when they're not on their amber switchback side flow with nothing. Especially when I have no other visible white light on the exterior besides my headlight beam, if my car was white sure but no, not into the switchback look. Not to mention will not solve the issue when the 194s stay white while the switchbacks are blinking amber, doesn't match.

But then again people would say the yellow fogs don't flow with anything but I just like the yellow fog light look and IMO headlight beams and fogs are excluded from the whole flow thing unless the fogs are like red/blue/green or some sht. Can't do anything about amber turn signals, thats the law. Wouldn't change the color if there was no law against it anyway.

But yeah, in the end the 194 did nothing anyway lol, even if I did get white it wouldn't solve the issue that it doesn't reflect off much light from the reflector.
