thanks.
trying to find some center caps for them but that's proving a little hard. sent an email to MRZ to see if he has any of the billet ones left. until i find some i might make something from metal at work..i'm gonna see if there are some scrap circulars similar in size to save me time..

almost wanna find another set of these rims for my regular tires. it looks good and the tires that came with the car were fairly new and the same size.

_HeC_ 11-30-2014 02:15 PM

oh good luck finding center caps, those were hard to find back when I had my 2nd gen Z24 10+yrs ago lol hell I still keep my eye open for them when passing through yards as I know how hard they are to come by

geldartb 11-30-2014 02:45 PM

seriously if you find some let me know..i've got a feeler post on the beretta forum. which is where i got the rims from..actually think the 2 that were originally black were the ones i owned previously..

back when i scrapped the Z26 i sold a majority of the stuff to one person. he used the rims for winter wheels on his beretta for a little bit..honestly i don't remember if i ever had center caps for them..

i wouldn't mind getting a set of the ones MRZ sold since they are held on by 3 screws and a ring on the backside. i'll wait till next week before i email him again..

since you are in canada would you mind calling him to see if he has a set of those billet gtz center caps.

Pretty sure he stays active on forever pontiac. I gave up on that site.

Pontiac_guy99 12-07-2014 08:42 AM

Don't ask why, but I need to know some reliable and good looking cars that are newer than mine. I really really like the 02 gp gtp coupe, but that's even older than mine. My parents think that of its over 10 years old, it's automatically crap and worthless. I need to either have a reason to say why not all old cars are crap, or I need a lots of several new(er) cars to pick from. Here is a list of cars I really like.

Pontiac bonneville
Pontiac Grand Prix gtp (coupe or sedan) (not 2004 and above)
Pontiac g5 gt
Pontiac g6 gt (2009.5)
Pontiac g8
Chevy impala (2000-2014)

Those are the ones I like. If you want please add cars that you like to the list. Thanks

I wouldn't say 10+ year old Pontiacs or GM are crap...but they aren't exactly dependable if you don't know how the previous owners maintained the cars. But I think you pretty much listed everything Pontiac made, minus the Aztek and Montana. Only one of those I would go with is the G8GT, not even the v6 G8. Broaden your search. If you want something dependable and cheaper, you would want to look for a Honda or Toyota. I know your parents have "rejected" that idea...but those really are some of the best bang for your buck. Not buying a used import car because it's an import, is just poor logic to me.

Pontiac_guy99 12-07-2014 08:06 PM

I would be all for an import, but there is no where to fix them anywhere near where I live. Only American shops here. Nearest one is aberdeen, and that is 1.5 hours away.

Imports can be just as easy to work on as an american car. Most shops can fix most cars. If a shop turned away imports, they probably aren't very good mechanics and I wouldn't bring my cars there anyways. There are only certain imports that are hard to work on, and you won't be buying any of those.

Pontiac_guy99 12-07-2014 08:29 PM

That's the problem - they DO turn imports like Honda and toyota away. Even Nissan. That's why you don't see barely any imports here. There is only one kid at my whole school who drives an import.

Well that's a shame. I wouldn't want to be living in your neck of the woods. Move away to college and buy a car then lol. I would buy any of those cars. If they can't figure out a basic import...how in the hell do they work on any sort of new car?

_HeC_ 12-08-2014 09:07 AM

sleeper mode.... can't believe the lack of snow so far, think I'll be able to enjoy the car for most of December still :)

No kidding.

I wouldn't label anything on that list, or any mass produced GM pre-2010, as dependable. Not any more than your Grand Am any ways.
