Well, I meant does it help the back seat? I assume it shades it pretty good huh?

TruGreenGAGT 02-08-2013 06:50 PM

Coop for what you have in mind 5% tint on all windows and a sun shade on the windshield the best way to go about it

lol

Right, the sun is worst directly overhead or close to that, lights coming in low or straight in are not blocked at all. still more to modify on it, though.
Sat outside all last Summer with the front of car facing the sun with a windshield shade in place, and that was a hot stretch of days!

Are your windows all tinted at 5%?

kzulfic 02-08-2013 07:26 PM

IIRC he has 20%.

TruGreenGAGT 02-08-2013 07:42 PM

http://i47.tinypic.com/28jgvgk.jpg
she been sleeping all winter.
BTW 20% up front...5% on the back

TDavis 02-08-2013 07:43 PM

It's the cloudy weather that makes it look darker then it actually is. My 20% looks much darker when its cloudy outside lol

So you still doing the air bags?

TruGreenGAGT 02-08-2013 07:55 PM

im on the fence. yes/no
yes cause itll be badass to drop it to the ground.
no cause the price. bout $2k for the rest of what I need

TDavis 02-08-2013 07:55 PM

Surprised you haven't done a brake upgrade Jim.

TruGreenGAGT 02-08-2013 08:02 PM

I was going to do the Vette up front at one point. then time/money ran short. and needed new brakes ASAP so just got stock rotors and pads. then painted the calipers/brackets black.
in due time I plan to do the Vette up front and rear
cost alone for Vette up front is around $500 (calipers, camaro brackets, pads, impala rotors)
at the time I got 4 rotors, pads, caliper paint. for tad under $300

Yeah that's a lot of money, but it would be cool.

TruGreenGAGT 02-08-2013 08:07 PM

if i do it, imma buy parts through the year....rather than one big purchase. wont appear to hurt my wallet as much.
air tank: $100-150
lines/fittings: $100ish
dual comps: $300ish
air block: $500
digital controller: $1,000
pretty much thats my list

kzulfic 02-08-2013 08:11 PM

Yeah It's easier to buy as you go along too, at least for me it is. I'm not the best at saving.

TruGreenGAGT 02-08-2013 08:18 PM

i can save, it just hurts to unload that much at one time lol.
although who knows for right price i might just sell the air struts i have lol

kzulfic 02-08-2013 08:22 PM

What did you pay for them?

TruGreenGAGT 02-08-2013 08:24 PM

like $600 shipped i think was a few yrs ago. got em used from riceburner2006

kzulfic 02-08-2013 08:30 PM

That's not to bad, have you tryed to see what you can get for them, or just haven't even thought about it?

TruGreenGAGT 02-08-2013 08:35 PM

i posted them for sale while back. and no one was interested

Jim and Nathan- what springs are you guys running? The front doesn't look as low as I remember my Intrax and H&R's were.

DrFabulous 02-09-2013 03:33 PM

Spacers installed. Removed HID setup... too many issues (since the car didn't come with them, it freaks out at least once a day with "bulb out" warnings, and since I don't have the auto-level sensors installed, they aim goofy sometimes)

Car still really dirty.

This was before the spoiler was fully installed, so yes, I know it's off on the corner.

Correct 20% sorry for the late reply.

Yeah I'm happy there is no snow here right now, though that was the first time in like 3 weeks the car came out.

It's one of those wheels you either hate or love. The only three spoke-ish wheel I will ever love would be the TurboX wheels.

kzulfic 02-10-2013 09:01 AM

probably not but i don't drive it everyday so and i couldn't justify buying new struts since the ones i had were pretty new themselves.

haven't had any problems with them so far.

I've heard that too, but It is and isn't true. Technically you shouldn't use anything but lowering struts, but most people don't(myself). From what I hear they just tend to wear faster.
