I know, makes me has sadz

DrFabulous 07-17-2013 07:40 PM

Most recent picture is the last time I washed it... back in May. It sits outside 100% of the time now and only drives about 250 miles/month.

So what sits in the other space on the garage since you have a 2 car garage?

Not my garage. ;) That's my future brother-in-law's 3-car garage.

The SO and I actually downgraded to a 1 bedroom apartment (with one garage stall) to live in a great area and to save money. We both have a <10 minute commute to work, we're within 20 minutes of both of our families, and we're putting almost 70% of our income into savings.

Does it suck not having a parking spot, a 2nd bathroom, and only 1 bedroom? YES.
Will it be worth it when we can put 30%+ down on a custom built house? YES.

Evansboy 07-18-2013 07:42 AM

New headrest inserts. Built not bought.

Sounds like a smart idea to me. That's what I'd do. I hate a long drive to work also.

Who? You or me? lol

TDavis 07-19-2013 01:28 PM

Me, haven't done anything to it besides washing it o.o

Next pictures I'll be posting will be of the detail. Next big mod will be the SC/T kit if certain things go through nicely. Thinking about it there are some places that I've gone through in my life of owning this car lowered that I wouldn't be able to get passed without ripping the front lip off if I had the SC/T kit but I guess thats the fun of it. Only 10% of me driving this car has been like that though. Gotta love the stance with the SC/T kit with a lowered GA though.

Now that I think about it there are really no other big mods to do appearance wise anymore. Spacers might come in the future but I need to nab this kit since the guy is 40min north of me.

tipnitty 07-19-2013 01:43 PM

If it's that close, you definitely have to pick it up.

Yeah I think hes in Macon, MO. We made a couple deals but I finalized that we should wait till I have a full payment rather then us meeting and me exchanging $250 and I would be leaving with nothing which isn't right.

I also suggested that I give him the first payment and I get the side skirts, second payment the front lip, and third payment the rear lip but he didn't want to go through that hassle since it was still new fresh in the box unopened. Thought it was a fair deal but oh well, I might have it by the 17th of August or so. Yes thats a month away but time flies lol

Less chance of getting scammed that way if I pay it in full anyway, even if he is a trustworthy person.

sleepyalero 07-19-2013 01:50 PM

I wish they made a lip kit for the alero :(

The razzi kit doesn't look that bad

tipnitty 07-19-2013 02:10 PM

I would just send him like $50-100 deposit and keep tabs with him until you have the whole payment.

If you don't get it let me know! I'd love to get an sc/t kit especially if its a good price and the full kit!

How did you find it? I can't say that I have looked for anything for mods lately.

Also:
Got my new ballast from TRS. Since I narrowed it down to a problem with the ballast they sent me a brand new one under warranty. The customer service at TRS has been great.

Also won a Porter Cable 7424xp on eBay for like $88.00 plus shipping. Soon as it gets here ill start looking into what pads to get.

Well I'm pretty much getting it unless he somehow sells it for $600 on craigslist but I doubt anyone will want it locally. Plus I told him I feel $600 is too much. I know its unopened n all but still.

Is your GA a coupe? Because the kit is for a coupe. IF I don't end up buying it i'll let you know but thats a slim chance lol

Also, I found it on GAOC, someone posted under the wanted section for parts of an SC/T kit and someone posted up saying he had the kit for a coupe still in the box and it was in MO. Supposed to rain for a week so we'll see when I get to finally detail it -.-

Another thing, I got some Lake Country ccs pads for my 7424xp DA, I'll let you know how they perform but nonetheless they should work great, Lake Country is well known.

I actually found it on CL and saw that it was for a coupe which sucks! Well I hope you can get it I'd hate to see it go to waste since I can't use it.

I've heard and read great things about the Lake Coutry pads so ill be looking forward to your write up on how your detail went because that's what I was thinking about getting.

Take notes, noobs.

TDavis 07-24-2013 10:08 PM

No offense to his car, its nice n all but jesus I bet he barely drives the thing, I can tell that it doesn't see rain at all. As much paint work thats put into it I would want to show it off to the world and drive around daily.

It's a car not a picture. I can't fathom the idea of having a car strictly for show. Not insulting you by any means but dam lol

sleepyalero 07-24-2013 10:31 PM

Mine doesnt see rain lol
