with non-mud tires on those rims you should stop tucking :heh:

looks good man

PhantomLover007 06-02-2013 01:03 PM

Good stuff man

_HeC_ 06-04-2013 04:29 PM

found me some Eagles!! 18x8 with a +38 offset sadly the guy sandblasted them so i doubt im gonna put the effort in to shine them back up again, probably going to go a gunmetal color

bricooper78 06-04-2013 05:17 PM

That's not all bad, it's almost like starting with brand new rims! Nice pickup!

_HeC_ 06-06-2013 07:29 PM

ya i guess, just need to decide what i want to do with them! ive been thinking about polishing the front of the spokes and the tiny lip then painting the rest gunmetal or black or just spraying the whole thing a solid color

spent a few mins with some 400 grit on the 2 bottom spokes to see how they would clean up

They look too good polished to have them any other color in my opinion. Just plasti-dip different colors until you find which one you like best.

[ChaosweaveR] 06-06-2013 07:40 PM

Black car + bronze wheels = win.

What's the offset on those? Get rid of the junky Goodyears on there.

_HeC_ 06-06-2013 07:46 PM

plastidip might be a option but id probably drive to the states to grab some as its $20/can here in Canada :( lol

offset is +38 and those tires have to come off, i really dont think a 245/45/18 will clear with the drop, and bronze could look good but i was planning on painting engine, trans, calipers and a few other things a gunmetal and black combination.... decisions

Order that **** online. I think bronze would look good in a mesh style wheel, but not in a spoke. Maybe a dark bronze, definitely not bright colored IMO

TDavis 06-06-2013 07:52 PM

gunmetal grey

_HeC_ 06-06-2013 07:53 PM

ive tried but you cant ship chemicals across the border and Canadian vendors online charge $15 i think

a buddy is going down in a few weeks to grab some stuff and i believe Lowes sells it for $5/can so might toss him some cash to bring me some back

Did you buy those from a GP owner?

_HeC_ 06-06-2013 08:46 PM

no a owner of a 79 TA who thought they would fit lol but i believe he did say he bought them from a GP owner originally

[ChaosweaveR] 06-06-2013 11:19 PM

Yeah, 245/45 R18 is what GPs use.

AaronGTR 06-07-2013 08:01 AM

Yeah, you need a 245/40-18.

I think those would look great in bronze or gold. Would look similar to volks and other mag style wheels in those colors, and those colors go great and black or white cars.

TDavis 06-09-2013 10:04 AM

245/40s with Canucks, you're not going to have much clearance if any near the base of the strut, not to mention you might rub at full lock

tipnitty 06-09-2013 10:10 AM

Polished is hard to beat on black.

kzulfic 06-09-2013 04:37 PM

Are those eagles painted or powdercoated?

I agree with Sam, can't beat polished on black/dark color.
