So do we get a refund when nobody even tries at hitting some 12s besides blackjack?

Werd. I'm pretty sure that I just paid for my own dinner when I'm out in Vegas visiting spy. Dammit.

I think the money should go to the lowest pass. I got a bottle of NOS and 2 9'b turbos laying around. This would be fun if i had the time to get it done.

Go buy some tubing and just run it into the intake. Launch and crack the bottle wide open. - instant 10 second pass, if the explosion from the motor was enough to propel you through the air at 130+ mph

Someone lend him their car, he can run the same setup pretty easily!

Back on topic: The proof **** you need is kind of ridiculous. Two runs with slips, a pic of your car in the staging lanes with your car number on it (matching the slips), and either a pic or vid of your car going through the trap, with visible time clock, on at least one of those two runs. The rules are already set though.

rediculous maybe

but money is involved and i dont think anyone wants to be screwed over.. so it's a necessairy safety measure id say. plus, if you manage to get on the track and pull it off, is it so hard to take a few pics? It all seems complicated but really, it's simple.

LOL PS: hey at least they arent asking for VIN numbers LOL

We all know who is running what here. Personally, Id be fine with just a slip and a pic of the car through the traps. If someone randomly shows up here and says theyve got two 12 sec slips, we are going to call BS obviously.

Nope. And I will be surprised if it is anybody other than Spy and Pat make it into the 12s. Nobody actually takes the initiative.

Most folks any more are looking for a cheap change to make their car perform like a Bugatti, but are only willing to pay for a CAI or fart can.

Unless, it lowers the MPG, then all interest is lost

well for those who are really hardcore about lowing MPG while ganing performance heres a list, from what i can guessI wont say the reason, they shoulkd be obvious)

lightweight accessory pullies, cam and crank gears

lightweight flywheel

lightweight rims

two piece aftermarket brake rotors instead of one piece units, if you can find some that fits of course.

Although combining all that will mean ull never really get your money back at the pump ..

But with all due respect, if your goal is the best fuel milage possible, then what the hell are you doing driving a grand am or alero?

And people need to be realistic, going fast costs money. If you dont wanna pay up, or you dont wanna go fast without improving fuel milage, then maybe you should rethink your plans. Get a more fuel efficient car or keep your car the way it is. You wont get legendairy fuel milage with these cars and there's no such think as constant 12 second performance for the price of one or two basic mods.

I think too many people here dont know enough about cars and expect some sort of miracle to be possible. Or think it's really easy to make a car fast.

Drive slower, respect the limits and keep your rpm under 2500!!

I'm still on pre-deployment vacation. Soon as I get back to hometown, the engine is going back together, and I'm going for it again (hopefully with a few fuel upgrades I have planned). Stay tuned.

Hey man, maybe you need to get a few more posts under your belt before you go flaming most of the people on here...
Plus next time dont guess...lightweight pulleys eating MPG...
come on...plus this thread has kind of taken a downward spiral, except for the last post. Trying to run faster than 13.00000 takes alot more motivation and innovation than an SBC or anything else, im not complaining of the aftermarket, its just a fact.

For those who still care about going faster, like me, dont worry, improvements are on the way. good luck to all the poweradder guys trying to take on the challenge, ill stick to the all engine one for now

You, sir, are the exception. I simply expect results from you.
