same with malkin. kid stops skating to slam his stick on the ice whenever he doesn't score or get a call. get your ass back on defense and talk **** once you're back on the bench, duh.

i hate both crosby and malkin. they are both pompous ass holes that cry when things dont go their way. i am SOOOO sick of how for each of these games all the commentators and analysts talk about is crosby and blah blah blah. they also show him after every frickin play whether he is on the ice or on the bench. its amazing how one guy can get so much attention for not doing that special. both of his goals last night was just being in the right place at the right time. anybody with any hockey skill could of put those in.

Despite Crosby crying and being a bish or whatev, you and I both know he is an amazing hockey player..Especially for his age...

You also have to remember that this kid's a phenom whether you want to hear it or not. Trust me, I agree that it gets tiring hearing his name every 5 minutes, and when he scores (even if it's a garbage goal), he's going to get a lot more attention for it...just the way it is. And that's the same for pretty much every sport. However, even if he was in the right place at the right time and anyone with skill could put it in, those goals show up on the scoreboard and that's really all that counts. Doesn't really matter how you score, just that you do score. It could be the prettiest goal or it could be the ugliest, but they both equate to tacking on another point towards a W.

His goals required him to be in position...and hey.... it worked. The kid is a leader at a young ****in age. I give him all the props in the world. And if you're calling Crosby nothing special, you've lost all credibility in this thread and proved you know **** about the sport. If you're calling his goals nothing special, I'll give you that. They were done at a crucial time though. They NEEDED that game.

If you havent played the game before you can shut up about a goal being hard or not( i dont mean you kse, i mean everyone in general)

I played hockey for 8yrs..and what looks easy , ISNT..trust me. First of all look at the 2 goals in his top 10..where he hits the TOP of the crossbar net with the puck..i cant start to tell you how hard that is just standing there, nevermind crossing the puck under 2 defenders sticks then doing it while skating 15mph

I think its obvious that I still play....

BTW - I was referring to his goals last night...not in general. I can still do all that other fancy ****...just not on NHL Defensemen....

I didn't say his were ugly, I was making a generalization. Crosby's goals are usually amazing, even if he doesn't score the dekes he makes and his stickwork is uncanny.

Yeah, I agree. I've played for 6 years (still play) and as a player, it doesn't matter to you how you get the puck in the net...all that matters is that it crosses that line. Of course, we're not all Crosby, making every goal look amazing. And let me tell you, nothing makes a player happier when the puck pops right to him after the goalie gives out a juicy rebound and seeing that open net realizing he doesn't have to work too hard to get the goal. So, who cares if the goal is "easy"? The fact is, Crosby capitalized and led the Pens to the victory.

Word.... Been playing organized hockey for 18 years...my brother is playing Junior A in the NAHL.. so needless to say, hockey is in the blood. Dangling, going bar down, and making D look downright stupid isn't that hard....but Sid is doing it to all-star defensemen. But his most impressive feat to me is stepping up as a leader. To see him as a captain and doing a fine job at his age is friggin amazing. I hope they win it just for him.

And if Detroit does happen to win....well at least my man Cheli gets another ring.
