That rusted out POS? About a 17 second 1/4 mile.

Its been recycled and is probably some beer cans right now.

The car is an A4 and after last nights play time with an E60 M5, I firmly believe that dyno is stingy as hell.

The measurements were also in SAE, not STD. Torque converter not locked... Each would bump up the #'s some but thats for show only. Shes no dyno queen.

is it an LS1 or LS2? Did you get a dyno tune?

in my LS1 A4 camaro i hit 328/364 with intake and midlength headers/catgs. my buddy with an LS2 GTO with kooks long tubes (w/cats) and intake hit 370/370, both cars were on the same dyno, which was known to be "conservative" compared to other local dynos.

while dynos are cool, the numbers are really arbitrary. they are only useful to get a baseline then after work was done to see the gains, but it needs to be done on the same dyno, preferably on the same day.

LS2 and yes, this is with a tune. I know dyno numbers do not mean much which is why I'm not worried about the low numbers. We'll see what she runs at the track then go from there.

Depends on what he has done and how well he can drive it. These things are a bitch and a half to launch.

Well, I finally made it to the track for the first time evAr!
Considering it was my first time, I'm happy with 2 of my runs.

This is Pacesetter LT's, Volant intake, spintech exhaust and tune from FLP....half tank of gas, spare and jack in the trunk..and on 18" Summer Street tires @ 22 psi

First run
R/T - .070
60' - 2.185
330 - 5.859
1/8 - 8.807 @ 84.43
1000 - 11.351
1/4 - 13.486 @ Unknown speed

Best Run
R/T - .023
60' - 2.127
330 - 5.746
1/8 - 8.627
1000 - 11.187
1/4 - 13.313 @ 106.45

Track prep was great however the weather was not. VERY hot and humid. I am confident with a little more practice, something other than street tires, and some better weather conditions and 12's are possible.

I know....me too! The DA was 3200 at the time of my best run which is terrible (from what I hear... Im not sure what it means but the more experienced people on the GTO board made reference to it)

You need to work on those launches bud. Im not sure what an "average" 60' time is, but I would imagine with that power you should be under 2 seconds.

Keep in mind I'm launching with 351 rwtq on scrawny ass 18" General Exclaim UHP's. I swear I think I was the only car with street tires on at the whole place.

AND it was my first time at the track, period. Not just in this car. The nerves were bothering me a bit but not everyone can say they pulled a 13.4 pass their first time. Looking forward to the next time I can get out there.... I just hope there isnt another 2.5+ hours of down time while they clean up peoples' messes.

Thats why you go on a weekday night. Most of the time its dead quiet and you can get multiple runs in one after the other.

Yea... few of the people were goin from the GTO board so I thought I'd tag along. I don't think Byron has night racing. Now that I know wtf I'm doing, I won't be so hesitant to go.

I like going to GLD but that's just me. Most of the times I went to the track were on Tuesday nights and they always happened to be my best times. But yea there's something to be said for getting 15 runs in one night

speaking of tires, I came out today from the store and my right rear was flat I filled it with air at the gas station, and it held until I got back to work, so hopefully it was a one time thing... probably not though.

Ouch - I would say just have it patched but I wouldn't patch anything I plan on going 130+ on (on a closed track)

I would've thought higher as well. How much does a dyno run cost there? I'm curious what the '06 i just picked up would do.

I got the dynotune which is $450 - Not sure what just a baseline would cost.
Check em out at www.flpmotorsports.com

The 4.6 L is supposed to kick out 320 at the crank.... since yours is an auto Im guessing 260 at the wheels maybe? Not a clue what the torque would be. Someone tossed their dyno results of the 07 4.3L XLR-V and came out to 376.79 rwhp 365.33 rwtq.
