2008 Summer meet in A-town (Aug 8th-10th)

Gonna do it again this year... will be August 8th-10th

I want to do a meet and greet on the first day for those making the drive (probably hit the track same day)

So far this is what I have planned...

FRIDAY - Noon - 4:15pm meet up with everyone/hang out.. fix/prep our rides for the track... eat/shoot the ****...
meet place for friday is the parking lot of Super Walmart in Antioch IL located at the corner of Deep Lake Rd & Rte 173 in antioch IL 60002

4:30 till whenever - hit the drag strip (www.greatlakesdragaway.com)...

after that who knows

SATURDAY -

11:00am till 3pm ish - Meet up with those who didnt make it Friday at the grant woods forest preserve.. clean/detail our cars... I will be be BBQing and we will have the car show off... later will be the Dog & Suds Cruise In and Kick A**... after which I am sure there will be plenty of "fun stuff" we end up doing...

SUNDAY - Everyone meets up for the last time... Maybe we eat brunch and nurse our hangovers... say goodbye till next year

EDIT- looks like the local hotel is booked up... there are rooms in Gurnee but I havent gotten a chance to put together a list of them.

Just like last year donations are welcome

we still need to determine a location for the BBQ/car show as well as a place to clean up the cars...

I am thinking that we can meet up at my house for the cleaning of the cars and probably a local forest preserve for the BBQ/Car Showsince we cant use the private beach this year (I will post locations of preserves later)

if anyone has any better ideas than those I have given please feel free to post em up

Most likely will be out saturday for half the day.

Don't forget to donate guys! Figure $10 (or more)/person is pretty reasonable cost to cover food, drinks, and crap. Either that or if you're committed to coming, bring something! Mike's got the Canadian beer handled, I got some food down, anyone else bringing stuff?

Sorry, I got invited to a Christian/Baptism event/feast on Sunday afternoon; by the family that I am staying with.
