custom 350z spoiler molded into factory spoiler!

so i got sick of looking for a cool spoiler for my grand am and decided to make my own. took about 5 hours, a lil panel bond, and a lotta bondo but its pretty cool. just hacked off the ends of the stock one, cut up the 350z one and molded them together to make a double deck! ill get better pics when the new paintjob is done and its not dark.

stock 350z spoiler

heres a lil work in the progress, just took the cut mounts off the 350z spoiler and molded them.

different angles of it.

Its a bit much for the car and it doesnt fit with the style of the car.

You like it, enjoys it.
Its not my cup of tea.

Hmm, interesting. Not sure if I like it or not. Hard to say when it's not painted and the rest of the car isn't done yet. It might look good. While you've got the bondo out though... fill in the stupid vents on the sides of the front and rear fascia and the stupid square holes on the front fascia on that AAS kit! They serve no purpose and clutter up the look of the kit. It will look much better without them.

I am unsure about it now, I think I will like it much better when it is all painted.

Props on doing more custom work :]

Once again thanks guys. sorry bout the double post, admin moved it on me. The square holes i will try to fill in on the front, but the vents im going to stay w/. i am painting them black and shading them so they arent as noticable. New paintjob in 2-3 weeks tho.

I honestly don't like it at all it might look a little better when its all painted but still don't think I will like it much.

But great job on the custom work its nice to actually see something different for once.

Wow, I'm impressed! when I saw the title of the thread I didn't expect much but you did a real good job making it fit and blend in. I can't wait to see how it looks painted

i was also considering doing a custom hood w/ hood scoops. i picked up a hood for $50, so if it doesn't look good it will get scrapped. but ill get the new paintjob before that.

as for the blending it was alot of little cuts on the 350z spoiler, then just screwed it sturdy, glued it, then molded. it will be blue like the rest of the car.

I say saw off that bottom "wing" and lower it all and it MIGHT look decent. But as is it looks like total ass. Respect for doing it yourself but damn it's ugly, looks like some cheesy wing from NFS Underground.

yeah, i wish it was lower too. but i used the stock spoiler to make it work. so i couldnt imagine how i would lower it. that bottom piece is a stock one, just hacked off the ends. maybe w/ paint it will blend in w/ the car better. Thanks bout the work, it wasnt as hard as i though it would be tho.

if I'm seeing the pics correctly, it's a STOCK spoiler with the new one molded to it. So the mounts being too big would be a problem that came from the factory

props on the custom work. Lets see some pics with at least some blue primer on it and from further away
