you mean all the parts for camaro swap are in one post are the actual gm part numbers etc there, yes that makes it easier. . but what about ALL THE DETAILS and FINE points of any mods need to be done to make everything work to put it all together .

the vette swap required small mods. if i ask and i am likely to, my gm dealer 9 aspecially where the new parts will come from them it works good that way . more expensive i know have gm dealer do it but want to keep everything in check . or i may get a brake shop to do this so i do not screw it up . i want them to know everything they need to do , EVERYTHING.

that way they won't say they won't do it , or it will require extra labour cash or get things screwed up . heck i managed to screw up a bit just getting the pistons back into to the calipers . and i thought i had everything down pat.

I highly doubt the dealer will actually do this. They usually don't like dealing with non-stock configurations. But here ya go...

Rotor - 19152695
Pads - 18026298
Calipers - 18042492 & 18042491
Caliper Abutment Bracket - 18026163

If you want red GTO calipers instead - 92175206 and 92175207

gto calipers work exact same just red ? so now to find out what in detail is invloved in install. also i take it there were no clearance problems with stock 99-2000 5 spoke non-chrome factory rims?

your likely right even though all the parts would be bought from the gm dealer they might get a little pissy with the idea.

BUT and i say BUT if it is a simple install i don't see them saying no. there likely to tell me there is no warranty on parts or labour or both if they do it because they are not MY original equipment parts.

i have pull with there detail and body shop but not really with the service.

When I had no other choice but to use my stock rims I had to trim the plasic slightly....

not much room at all. I guess the torqued style rims work a little better.

The GTO calipers probably won't fit with stock wheels, but I don't know for sure. They're more reinforced like the C6/XLR, but slightly different than the C5. Grand Prix GXP calipers may work, but I have yet to get my hands on some.

The "GTO" lettering is only a decal on them and can be peeled off.

so Calipers - 18042492 & 18042491 are paint blk ?

any fitting problem with them on the paint alum version of your rims. they are 2 piston correct. and the rotors are 12". more on install details details . all the little things like you trimming of your chrome plastic.

Not black, raw aluminum.

12" rotors, 2-piston calipers.

Anyone else would have to comment on fitting stock wheels. While I was the first one to do this (As far as I know) I've only had 17s since (stock were 15")

When the time comes for me to buy the big brake system if the prices are still good i will go with MP Racing's newest setup just described to me. versus my very well discounted GM dealer pricing i recieve.
