sigh welcome to my world. I graduated from Ivy tech with an associates degree in computer networking a year ago and all I've heard is "we decided to go with someone else who has more experience". I'm currently a night stocker at lowes and honestly I've given up on my dream of a white collar job and decided to just start moving up at lowes. only way I can seem to give companies what they want is to forfeit benifits and take a contracted/temporary position at some company, but being 28 years old and married thats a bit too risky. I have 12k in student loan debt, 10k in credit card debt, owe about 1500 on a personal loan, and my wife is a hypochondriac and keeps bringing medical bills in, which is where a majority of my credit card debt comes from. she makes about 13.50/hr from her dad, I make $11.56/hr from lowes. I'm going to fed ex next week to try and get a part time job, pay off some of this debt because honestly we're making it at this moment, but just barely. Never would I have imagined when I decided to go back for a degree that a year later I'd still be working at lowes!

At this point in my life college really seems like just a waste of money. if I had to do it all over again, I would of started moving up at lowes instead of even thinking about going to school!

eh not really trust me man the VQ wasn't built for boost so before you even drop 5k+ on a turbo kit you need to spend a few thousand to beef up the engine first and other supporting mods and the 03-05 trans is horrible the newer 06+ trans can hold a lot more power. Don't get me wrong the VQ is a great engine and I like the 350z but its heavy and I'd rather get a much lighter car and drop a VQ into it...oh wait nevermind thats what I'm doing

Buy a 99 3000gt vr4 you can pick one up for the same price as a used Z and they will maintain there value since that was the last year they were made. Also bone stock a 3000gt vr4 will run 12's as long as you know how to drive . Good luck with everything!

She worked her ass off, Honor Roll all 5yr's,Graduated at the top of her class with Honors. It effect our relationship alot with all the added stress she was under effective Us and everything else. For What making $10.50 She could have saved the 70k and have started working 5yr's ago. She would probably be making $12-13hr and we would have less debt probably have the wedding paided for and have at least a Apt. If not a Small House at this point.

you're planning wrong then. See Gizmo's recent thread in the AAG section. The same situation applied to you, even with the classy "Network Engineer" title.

To be honest iceman, half of the kids that graduate are retards. We only have 4 kids that know what they are doing. Hell the rest wasted the money on the major title because it sounds like they'll be making a lot of money. But can't handle the book side of it let alone hands on.

I would like to see this kit get put to good use too. I have considered buying it myself but I am actually looking forward to making my own since I think it would be alot funner than just buying one.

...and all of us older, established working guys on here advising you hear this same excuse/statement from younger folks like yourself It's always someone else who can't foot the bill, never do they perform introspection on them self.

WHHHHHHHHATEVER though. Once again, we advise, no one listens, they'll get butthurt, and they'll learn. Just like 2-3 years from now when williamGT is knee deep in the hole on that 'gotta have" Grand Prix GXP and he still has more than half the loan to pay and can't get out of it without going deeper in the hole..and he's tired of the car.

How about this, I'll sell you a real car, my RX7, for $20k. It's even the 350z blue color. A lot better buy than a 5 year old with hardly any potential for your budget.

Thats not a bad price. Is that with mods? Also if your serious I showed this to my friend who has a blown z06 willing to straight trade.

The car only comes one way now, I have no way to demod. And I don't want someone elses car, I'll buy my own new C6 Z06 if/when I sell this.

P.S. LOL @ williamGTs brother tag

right now, nowhere. If I see opportunities I mention it. Posting it leads to clueless tirekickers who are poor and dreaming, or want to nickel and dime you like a NYC used car salesman.

Going to college is a wise decision. As long as you do some grunt work prior and ensure the current graduates are getting hired, and they're getting hired at a rate you think would be comparable to what you expect to make when graduating. I hope you're happy with living at or near the povertly level the rest of your life. Granted it's not all about money but it sure does help.
