I mounted a sirius in that cubby thing under the fog light switch, but you probably want to see the screen so that might not be a good spot

You don't really need three air vents above the radio. Remove the left one and put in a cup holder and use your suction mount plate inside and put your mount there. Hardwire through the side of the cup. I've even seen some colored LED lights in the cup behind the gps to give a cool glow.

I had my Garmin mounted right above and to the right of my rear view mirror, and ran the wires up with the ones for the mirror, tucked it under the roof panel, down inside the passenger pillar, and behind the dash. Looked fine, wasn't in the way at all.

It blocks more vision that way and kind of sticks out. I moved mine around to 4-5 different places and drove around with it (battery power ftw), and to the right of the mirror was the least annoying place

yea i have both laying around from when i fixed my bumper so that's not really bothering me to much. what would be the best way to block off the air on the two pipes? im thinkin all that hot air prob isnt the best thing for the headunit or would it not matter?

yea i like the rear view mirror idea but alot of times i end up in the city or paterson and i really dont wanna give ne one a reason to break in trying to find it ya know? thats another reason im kinda leaning towards the dash. my other idea is what iv seen some ppl on here do where they relocate the hvac controls to the glovebox and mayb move the headunit down there then put the gps where the headunit is suppose to be. idk which way is easier im either doing alot of wiring or alot of fab work haha idk witch is worse

If you plan on doing (or already have) any visible mods at all, your car instantly becomes fair game to jackasses and nairdowells.

It never left a mark in my car. Just get a decent alarm, or be like me and just not care if it gets broken into.

FYI a GPS unit needs to have line of sight with the sky. Meaning no cubby holes unless you have an external antenna.

Not always true.... I took mine and climbed under my car with it and it still showed like 80% signal strength
