i was merely giving an example of how dealers treat cars.
i can imagine theres more to this story than we're being told. cars with plastic in them and no plates at all (MV or just the dealership paper fill in) would most likely mean the cars JUST came in off the truck and havent been "set up" or prepared for the lot yet.
its almost as though the set up guys or lot guys grabbed a set of these keys at work and went after hours with the cars. if it was a salesmen or sales manager, he would have at least put MV plates on it....

Yea...like I said, too many unanswered questions. Something stinks...

It is possible that anyone who had access to the keys of the two cars could have taken them to the track when they were to be "unloading" the cars off of the hauler. A friend of mine used to work for Acura, and he would "inspect" cars like the NSX and Integra Type R by going for a quick joy ride "around the block" with the dealer plates on them. I'm not saying that this is what happened, but it is possible, and I love the fact that the guys were caught, and their picture(s) are online.

I'm calling bs. One of those is a southern car (see the darker rims). The gtr's for warm weather climate have darker rims and come with summer tires. The ones with lighter color are for colder climate and come with all seasons. So, for both of them to be at the same track, its unlikely that they are both from a dealership.

Edit: One of the dealerships in question has contacted GTRBlog to say that this car was in the hands of a customer at the time of the drag meet. It had just been picked up off the lot. The other car is said to be from a different dealership.
as per the second post in this thread. it seems like it was the customers.

I'm starting to think that myself. But like what was mentioned before, there certainly are a lot of unanswered questions. Car collectors sometimes make special requests to have all of the plastic stay on the car when they take delivery, but it seems unlikely that a car collector would go through such lengths to preserve the interior, and go racing with a car that most likely hasn't been properly broken in yet. We need to get the guy in the pic on this forum to find out....

Well if the theory that the tires and wheels on the one really are from a warmer region of the US..chances may be good it was broken in on its way to the track.

The other is still a toss up.
