Question Sc/t

Yes those are the style of gaskets i am STILL waiting for . not heard back from them yet been a few days or so. was getting fast replies when things were going smoothly . sameday or next day .

you had to re-drill new holes . why you had the old style spoiler on there before yes ?? and should this not fit the same holes ???

i had the old style spoiler too and i mounted the A-D spoiler to those holes looks to me to have used the same holes. now i hope the sc/t also uses these same old spoiler / A-D holes ???

anyone esle have to re-drill holes ??

xshenanigansx did you have to pay custom charges etc .

Thumbs up sct

PLEASE IF ANYONE GETS A SPOILER that is primered . can you carefully trace out the gaskets left and right for me and location of holes .

it's a whole lot easier then trying to trace bottom of my spoiler legs which would not be close to accurate. plus these gaskets look like the sit inside the legs a bit.

and i'll get you to mail or fax it too me @ 1-902-491-8072 attn: brenda . just incase things end in a not so great way with elite.

I didn't have to pay a customs charge... least i dont think so... didn't have a sheet or anything with the box. Yes I had to drill new holes.

Around $270 + customs fee, It'll be around $14 more. (for painted)...(Same thing minus $70 for unpainted). I didn't get a customs fee... or i might be a bill in the mail... not sure... but the box says something about $14.80 not sure though. But yeah its still under or close too $300

it says $169 U.S on the site, even with the exchange its about $175 CDN, then you got yours painted so another $70, so $245, wheres the extra $25 go? but I could get one for under $200 if i got it primed

So, you had an OEM spoiler on, then the @3D one, which you had to fill in the old OEM holes, and now you have to drill new holes and fill in the ones from the @3D spoiler? Am I correct on this?

Question sct

no phantomlover ,, i had the old spoiler then the A-D now the sct ( not installed yet)...from under the trunk it lloks like the A-D used the same holes as the old spoiler. so hopefully this sct uses the same holes again. but xshenanigansx says when he went from old spoiler to sct he had to make ne holes.

xshenanigansx, takes pictures of the mounting area / holes under the trunk lid. and you did get yours from elite spoilers YES ???. look at those customs forms attached to your box , what does it say in detail. looks like customs forms on your box.

todate my spoiler was 169 non-painted then with exchange about 185 cdn. no ship and todate no customs.

there was customs papers on the package but when the fed-ex guy delivered it they had been removed. i do not know by who. we signed that we recieved it and asked if there were any other charges. none .

i then called fed-ex to see if they would bill me later. they said they could/would if i had an account. but if i did not they collect when i recieve it. maybe the customs said SAMPLE etc. there for no customs.

phantom lover were you got yours from they do not ship to cdn. i do keep trying to convince them last year , this year. means i will need to use my usa contact and there credit card too. SUCKS. but that if they even sell the gaskets etc separately??? do you know if they do.

moore19ca , no they still do not have yours and my colour silvermist metallic. but if you do get yours paint let me know how it looks. i have heard and it appears that it is not an easy colour to paint. hence was only available for 1999 and 2000.

okay... lemme answer some of these questions

First off: I got no customs papers.. the stuff on the box was an invoice copy from elite spoilers... WHICH i found out.. they buy their Spoilers through a company called Wing-tech! try calling them about gaskets! google them.

2nd: The New Spoiler covers the OLD holes! I didnt have to fill anything.. just put some sealer around the holes and rust proof it!. My old Alero Spoiler Was installed really badly so the holes are weird... but i still made it work!

Heres the hole pics... I used Red Paint Sealer so cover the holes... and fill in any scratches to prevent rust.. looks weird cause the screws are covered... but meh. works. better then rust haha
Both sides...

any other questions?

Question sct

ya i did not get any invoice . either was taken when the customs papers work taken , or they left them out so that there was nothing for customs to use ????

so your spoiler was not put on properly that's why you had to drill new holes ..yes ??

i don't think were i have aready had the old spoiler and the a_d spoiler using the same holes , that i would need to use those ties . you think ??

i have heard the term ALERO SPOILER IS THAT WHAT YOU GUYS call the older style ga spoiler ( standard spoiler )

i will google that supplier name Wing-tech . any other info of there's on the paperwork or your box etc.

if i do not get a reply from elite spoilers by tuesday , i will call them. it's been a week. not good

maybe they can not find my original gaskets etc that they left out of box . and just had someone send me a generic install kit.

it shouldn't bankrupt them to if they need to take the right kit from another box.

By Alero Spoiler.... I mean the Spoiler that is on a Oldsmobile Alero. It has the same holes as a stock grand am spoiler. No no I had to drill new holes cause the new sct spoiler has wider spaces inbetween the holes.

http://www.wtspoilers.com/ <---- thats the site.

why are you fussing over the gasket anyways? Just go buy a bulk roll of some from a hardware or automotive store and trace/cut out gaskets?

sct ..to be or not to be. that is the question ???

SO YOUR OLD SPOILER WHICH YOU CALL AN ALERO SPOILER IS THE STYLE ALERO'S USED ( longer and flat then ga standard spoiler ) . .

i previously mention why i really want the actual gaskets. makes things easier , less costly and better's my chance of best fit and seal.

plus they are owed to me . they left them out . by accident yes but still left out .
