Just reading that first page I almost threw up in my mouth reading the countless "I can't wait until 500yrs from now, then I'll have one"..."I'll be looking for one of these in 5 years with high mileage"...yadda yadda. SURE YOU WILL!! In 5 years there will be something new and better you dumb focking sh1tcar driving teen morons! You should see how many young pukes come on the RX7 forum weekly in the For Sale section with this type of post:

WTD: 93-95 FD
-hey all, looking to buy a 93-95 FD, any color. Must be clean and running good! Would prefer stock so that I can build it as I go along. Only thing is, I only have about 10k to spend.(or you can substitute that line with "Looking to spend $11k or less). Let me know what you have.

Saw one today already on my way home. Kinda suprised, I see one of these before a Challenger (that won't last long though ) It was going southbound on I95 as I was going north. it was red with he graphite wheels. Looked pretty cool from what I saw in the rough 2.5 second in our passing

Nissan Raises MSRP On GT-R By $7K, Base Model To Now Start At Almost $77K

http://jalopnik.com/5047168/nissan-r...-at-almost-77k

Quote:
Apparently forged blocks of badass have jumped in price lately, because raw material costs are said to be behind a $7,000 price increase on the Nissan GT-R. With the bump, the base GT-R will now set you back $76,840, while the Premium runs $79,090; add another grand for destination and handling, along with whatever obscene markup your local Nissan dealer wants to throw in for himself. If you got your GT-R order in before September 5 you just saved yourself a bunch of scratch, as the new pricing doesn't apply to orders already in dealer hands prior to that date. Full release from Nissan after the jump.
press release:
Quote:
Nissan today announced an interim price adjustment on the 2009 Nissan GT-R due to increased raw materials costs. The Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Prices (MSRP)* of $76,840 for the GT-R and $79,090 for the GT-R Premium model are effective immediately. Destination & Handling (D&H) is $1,000. The adjusted prices do not apply to customer orders already in dealer hands prior to September 5. The initial GT-R pricing was established nearly a year ago.

To date, approximately 70 percent of the first year allocation of GT-Rs for the United States market have been sold as part of a pre-sale program that has been underway since February 2008. The first customer deliveries of the limited production Nissan GT-R supercar began on July 7, 2008. The GT-R is available only through officially certified Nissan dealers that have met a number of strict sales, service and facilities commitments, including dedicating a master technician to GT-R service. A searchable listing of the 663 GT-R Certified Nissan dealers is available to consumers on nissanusa.com.

All 2009 Nissan GT-Rs are equipped with a standard 3.8-liter twin turbo V6 producing 480 horsepower and 434 lb-ft of torque, backed by an all-new, paddle-shifted, dual clutch rear transmission and a world’s first independent rear transaxle ATTESA E-TS all-wheel drive system.

In North America, Nissan’s operations include automotive styling, engineering, consumer and corporate financing, sales and marketing, distribution and manufacturing. Nissan is dedicated to improving the environment under the Nissan Green Program 2010, whose key priorities are reducing CO2emissions, cutting other emissions and increasing recycling. More information on Nissan in North America and the complete line of Nissan and Infiniti vehicles can be found online at www.NissanUSA.com
so now the base Z06 is about $5000 cheaper. i guess if youre dropping that much money on a car thats not that much but i guess thats 5 grand more that can go to mods or gas. we'll have to wait and see if this affects other cars.

GT-R Skips Matte Black, Goes Straight To Matte Gold!

This matte gold Nissan GT-R was spotted in Dubai, where it was possibly turning its custom-painted nose up at the relatively gaudy all-chrome McLaren SLR. This could be a sign that the matte black trend, as exemplified by the matte black F430 and matte black Veyron, is being replaced by a new matte color. If less is more, and matte black is less, matte gold is slightly more than less.

nice color i think... but id rather have my grand am that i can race a few times before the trans breaks on it

Saw a few so far in the last few weeks. Fast as **** but I'm still undecided on the look especially in person. It still gives off that boy racer type look that a car for it's price shouldn't have.

Either way all but a few of you need to get your head out of your asses for real. If you have enough dime to drop on an $80K+ sports car chances are it's not your daily driver. Chances are with an $80K+ car you're not on a budget and whether it's $80K or $125K is not really going to matter.

If I had the dime right now to drop on a car like this I wouldn't. Give me a GS460 or a 750 anyday of the week...

You really have no idea how many people are getting tired of your posts here. And I'm not talking part-time posters...... If you don't cool it, your life here is going to turn into hell.

There's more people on the boat than you and I, I'm talking folks with green names

P.S. Surprised you are on this boat, I figured you for the "I suck off illegal immigrants on their way across the ocean in order to make extra money" boat.

So.... if you use the "launch control" feature on the new GT-R just one, your warranty is void
And big surprise, the tranny isn't holding up well at all when using launch control
