Glad to hear you are nearly there with getting this thing going already. Its unfortunate that projects never seem to get done in the timeframe that you actually plan out. I was looking to get my stuff done by the end of April, but I'll be luck to finish before this race sesaon ends to be honest.

Very nice build though. Its good to see you are taking time to do things correctly.

I don't think Ben would let me do anything half ass tbh.

I'll post what my machine shop charges me.

I just started working on the engine car again. The wot-tech double roller chain is installed along with the wottech intake manifolds.

I'll be working it every sunday until finished. These photos were taken today.

Exactly. The car came with a 3100 from the factory, so its only natural to have a 3100 plenum.

So the 3400 and 3500 IM's are work with one another? I figured you would have to swap for both the LIM and UIM for the 3500's.

IIRC The 3500 is based off of the 3400 hence alot of things like heads ad manifolds work for the 3400

That's cool. I knew some 3500 pieces could work, but I didn't realize that you could mix and match certain parts too.

3500 heads only work with a 3500 lower and vise versa. You can use a 3x00 UIM on a 3500 lim. And you can use a 3500 UIM on a 3x00 LIM.

Awesome. But I want some advice, would I see a difference with just a stock 3500 UIM & LIM swap? Or would I be better off boring them out for more airflow?

I'm pretty sure the stock 3500 UIM flows worse than the 3400 so you would want to get it ported. But the 3500 LIM will not fit unless you install 3500 heads too.

I think it was said above but a 3500 LIM can't be used on 3400 heads.

3500 worse airflow? Odd, I'd figure the newer design to be better.

ported the 3500 UIM outflows a ported 3400 UIM, but stock for stock the 3400 is better.
