Mastercraft Avenger ZHP 175 each for 18"

BF Goodrich, I forget the name, but they cost me about 200 per tire.

Anything cheaper than that I wouldn't trust unless you're getting some type of steal.

They don't look too bad. I was going to say those would look good w/ a black ring, but that might add to the look of a fatter tire...

I was gonna go with blakc and some sort of time attack ring, but the only color that would look good, would be silver and then I could just go with a black rim/polished lip. But I don't think that would look so good on a silver GT.

Supposedly, the new Dunlop Direzza Sport Z1 Star Specs are the cat's meow. Dirt cheap (considering the capabilities of the tire) at $167 per in 225/40R18. I'll be using them for my next set (but in 225/45R17 for $122 per).

I'm not looking for a super high performance tire either, just something that fits the rim, and won't call apart. If it fits the rim and grips at least as well as a regular all season than I'm all set.

I paid $600 for mine mounted, balanced, lifetime road hazard, etc for Bridgestone Potenza RE050 Pole Positins. But I also work at Michel Tires Plus and only paid 10% over cost for the tires. If you live close enough come down a visit, I can get you a nice discount!

I'm only 14 miles north of Detroit. Id have to see what my discount is, and see if Id be saving money with gas included.

I just bought a set of four Kumho Ecsta AST KU25's in size 225/40/18's, from treadepot.com for just under $300 including the shipping. They were just $69 per tire. I've used the AST's for a few years on a couple of my other cars, and they've been absolutely great tires. I was running Nexen N3000's on my 18's and I didn't think they were anything special. Couldn't wait to get rid of them. To each his own though. The AST's are more of an all season radial rather than a "performance" tire, but they're a very aggressive looking tire, and I think they run out great. Excellent traction and very quiet.

The Nexens are pretty decent tires imo.
