2 amps...factory alternator????

Im replacing the monsoon system in my G/A. I currently have a 300w rockford mono sub amp running 1 12"rockford sub. I am installing a alpine H/U and 6.5 components that will be amped(alpine 6x9's too....but not amping them.) im gonna use at 100x2 amp for the components in addition to the rockford sub amp. As of now i have had no issues with running the 1 amp, but once i add the addition amp for the componets will i be running into charging system issues. If so what can i do to resolve them or avoid them.

You'll be good man, I wouldn't really do any electrical upgrades with that kind of power.

times 2, if you want to do some simpler yet useful electrical fortification you can do the "big 3" and get a better battery such as a deep cycle model.

first order of business though is to just try it and see how it works out. dont expect a whole lot at idle due to thats unfortunately when most of us use the most power and your alternator puts out its least amount of power :/

I've ran 2 amps pushing like 800 watts @ 1 ohm each on a stock alternator and a stock battery. Granted it didn't last long, but it took like a month and a half for that battery to die . Never killed the alt.

do the cheaper things first... Big 3 and upgraded battery, HO alt should be your last ditch unless your alt goes out anyways which is when i upgraded mine to the HO alt

I wasn't even aware our cars could fit the 6x5's in the doors. Everywhere I looked said 4" or like 5 1/4" or something like that. I just know it wasnt 6x5.

You sure the 6x5's fit?

6.5s* will fit, just be careful with mounting depth

You add a fused wire from batt+ to alt, normal wire from batt- to chassis, and another normal wire from batt- to engine block. You don't need to replace the stock wires.
