suspension is KYB agx HnR springs. poly control arm bushings. those next level braces n sway bars.

same slicks n tire combo i have been running.

going to maybe fenangle something for the rear.

my new rings, headgasket, and main studs will be here friday.

gotta order my 2.3 oil pump parts, some vband shiyet, next.

and the head is getting HO cams, some HO valvetrain bits, and cleaned up

very nice indeed, have you been tinkering around or learning much about tec 3 yet? so how long is your collecting stage gonna last? i know sometimes the parts pile keeps on getting bigger and bigger, yet the list somehow stays the same length, **** my list is going on three years, although it is starting to dwindle just a tad.......

some aspects of the tec3 remind me of hptuners, and hondata, so I don't think I'll be that far off on the learning curve. Also I have a base cavalier map to work off of to tweak and get me on the road to where I need to go. I have a feeling I'll be just fine w/ the standalone. The wiring is all straightforward.

Just a lil comarison.

Both cores are 3inches thick.

the difference in height w/ both is by 2inches.

Difference in size between 350hp interfooler and 650hp interfooler.

Well I have to update my hptuners, I'm lazy on that part. I have to buy two big ass aluminum u-bends and three couplers and a dry element cone filter. T-bolt clamps since they sexy, and that would be my intake for the truck. Then I'd naturally have to tune the sucker, and relocate the IAT sensor from under the hood to a cooler spot..

And headers are expensive. I look at the price of headers, and I look at the price of a GT4088R........... it has to be one or the other.

I just want to do a set of headers and a cutout, and call it a day on the exhaust side.

I just scored a used set of kooks for $550. Headers werent on my list of mods just because they are so damn expensive, but I couldnt pass that deal up. Its still blowing my mind how cheap I got them.

The stock exhaust manifolds arent bad at all, its the Y pipe that sucks on these trucks. Pick up a burns Y merge pipe and build the rest yourself.


Back on topic, that datsun would be awesome to throw the quad 4 into. I cant believe you have stuck with the grand am for so long already.

It's just one of those things that's interesting to build and get pissed at. I impress and win over more people that the quad is a sick motor to play w/ more and more. Like seriously who would've thought you could get 420+hp on only 15lbs of boost on a quad 4?!?!!?
