Do you have any personal experience with Toyotas? Not just "my mom has a '96 Corolla and it sucks." You still have yet to explain exactly why they're for women, too... hmm...
![]() I just find it amusing to have a half ton pickup that can run with Mustangs, Si's, and other moderately quick sports cars. Keep in mind this thread is just for sh*ts and giggles. Opinions and random rantings are encouraged. ![]()

You're right, no one would buy a GTO because they like the way it looks, enjoy the comfort and power, and like having a car that they can have fun with.

Not too bad looking, decent power, but the FWD would kinda suck with that much power. I haven't driven one, however.

Ask yourself this How many Tundra's have you seen with a 6ft-8ft plow? That should tell you something about Power and Durability. Last time i check if you have 381HP and weight almost Double a Stang/Goat whatever your still not going to outrun it. http://www.fordvehicles.com/2009F150/

I would buy a 5-10 year old diesel pickup you get the higher mileage and loads of power, in fact some of them could beat the mustange and they weigh in at over double.

Funny that you mention the plow thing, cuz I just saw two Tundras with plows on them today. Not to mention the gas well pad I was at today (I do surveying and computer work for an engineering company), three of the four head honchos for the gas company had Tundras. The other had a Chevy dually diesel. I have most certainly looked into the Tacoma, but I think it's a little too small and underpowered for what I need it to do. Residual value is really high though. I drove my company's '08 Chevy Silverado today. It's a VERY smooth ride, but the power doesn't seem to be enough and the interior materials seem cheap. You are right about the weight issue in the Tundra, but the truck still performs with low-6's in the 0-60. The Chevy would be lucky to get 7.5-8. The Tundra may not BEAT the Mustangs and whatnot, but it would certainly RUN with them. This is a good discussion, though. I appreciate everyone's input. I just did the same KBB inquiry for an '08 Dodge Ram with the Hemi and 20k miles on it. Stickered for around $32,000 new and it's now worth $15,000. That's over a 50% reduction in worth in ONE YEAR. A similar Chevy Silverado stickers at $30,000 and is now worth $17,000. So I think I'd take a drop from $35k to $24k with the Tundra anyday. Of course, if gas goes back up, all pickup owners are screwed anyways. ![]()

Have you seen the guy's movies? Not exactly the smartest cookie in the batch. The guy is funny and all, but I'm not basing a huge financial decision on what Larry the Cable Guy would do. Otherwise known as W.W.L.C.G.D.
That reminds me, I need to change that picture...This is a thread about what vehicle you'd like to get after your GA. That's it. I"m sorry that your "Toyotas are for women" arguments aren't holding too much ground right now. Let's meet in the middle. I don't want a ****ing Tundra. I want a ****ing Suzuki Aerio. ![]()

Let's go ahead and spark the conversation back up...
Does anyone have any experience with the late model Subaru Legacy GT? I'm not talking the regular 2.5 liter 4-banger, but the one with the turbo. I've seriously considered one of those as well for the AWD, the performance, and better gas mileage than the Tundra (which seems to be the truck of choice for women.) ![]()
