i have a good stocker bolt with washer if you need one...or i can get you an ARP crank bolt with the washer. and the bolts wouldnt be stretched. if they were, then it would spin ok...wouldnt be tight on the crank...but yah use the arp rod bolts.

well what happened was i would torque the outer 4 pistons and it would be fine. Then when it got to the middle two, thats when it would happen. it almost felt like the torque wrench was not correct because it even felt like its was over tightening the bolts, but i didnt change anything with the wrench. its odd.

i got all of the connecting rod bearings measured for thickness, bottom being the bearing on the cap:
PISTON 1 top: .063
bottom: .063

PISTON 2 top: .063
bottom: .063

PISTON 3 top: .0645
bottom: .064

PISTON 4 top: .0635
bottom: .064

PISTON 5 top: .063
bottom: .063

PISTON 6 top: .0635
bottom: .0635

Piston numbers 3 and 4 were the ones giving me issues. are these too thick? its obvious that they are the odd ones out, but are they too thick to where they need to be shaved down. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

when i get my tax money and my reinbursment check from my college for the money i didnt use this semester. Plus however much Obama gives as a stimulus. I figured ill get about 3000 in the next month and a half or so. Very soon. all i need is the LIM, headers, injectors and fuel rail, and a tune. the manifolds need to be ported.

Good stuff.
We'll have to do some testing for Ben.....your 1393 cam and ported 3500 heads versus my 1280 cam and street/strip 3400 heads.
At the dragstrip, of course.
