i did read up on sh*t before i tried this...to my understanding all i have to do is barrow a working key cylinder, put it in my car start it cut the yellow wire to the passlock.test and add a resistor...then remove the key cylinder and put it back in the orignal car...and even if it needs to auto learn agian i just bypass the passlock.

From my understating theathlock or passlock, what ever it is on the grandam. It just checks to see if a key is inserted. This has to be true because I saw on our local cop show (MPD) where they took a Malibu. It looked like they used a hammer to jam a house key in the ignition. You might need to get that bypass box.

Here's a clue people.... you drive a grand am, not a ferrari. You don't need a fancy way to start it. Some people might tell you if you turn the key and it starts at all, just be happy.
