i can do down another 2-3" but like i said in my first post, i'm gonna wait and do a final adjustment after the motor/5 speed is in, and i get the wide tires mounting, i don't want any rubbing.....

No, they don't. Check their application guide. They offer them for firebirds and for the '97-'08 grand prix. No n-bodies. They have to be custom made... like the ones Matt had made that V he V now ownes.

That's a good idea. The best thing about coil overs isn't the fact that you can adjust the ride height. It's that adjusting the height of the spring perch allows you to corner balance the car to equal out weight distribution. Wait until everything's installed on the car then go get it corner balanced.

You are correct, I never looked into coil overs for the GA I know they are EXPENSIVE and custom is even more.

If you are willing to wait a long time, pay via COD.......and if they will even do them anymore, Mantapart still advertises Bilstein coilovers for $1500, which is actually a pretty good deal. They are basically Bilstein cartridges in a stock strut housing, with coilover hardware added to the housing (like threaded sleeves, etc.).
Mine were done by Truechoice Motorsports, which is a Koni rebuild shop and supplier of race spring/damper setups and other safety equipment. They were about $2500 all told.

Yeah, I'd go Truechoice for sure if I was going to get coilovers made. Who knows, maybe someday I will.

You must have got one of them RWD Grand Am's?

When I bought mine (FWD sadly), the dealer kept trying to sell me a RWD Grand Am. He kept calling it a "GTO" for some reason...
