Thanks for the help but i think i have made my decision i'am gonna get the 225/50/16 and they are gonna be cooper cs4 touring they may not be high preformance but i'm geting a deal buy three get one free all mounting and balancing included plus a 80,000 mile warranty which would most likely out live my car if they last that long.

No, problem.

The ratings look with in wanted spec.

By just looking; without driving it.
Looks like you will want to be kind of careful in the winter storm road conditions.
It looks more suited for 3-seasons: spring, summer, fall.

PS: Don't forget to break-in the tires (meaning take it easy at 1st).
They will take a couple of weeks to burn of the molding oils/outter rubber.
Before they will grip the road properly.

Especially living in the northern parts I would recomend a dedicated winter and summer tire, no all seasons they generally are poor in summer and worse in winter.
If at all possible have 8 rims and tires, makes spring and fall changes so much easier and quicker, not to mention cheaper. As and added benefit your tires last several more years.

Or you are !!!

Your stock size is: 205/55/16"
= diameter 24.9"

Your tires: 205/40/16"
= diameter 22.5"

Well done

maybe he does not care that the speed will be off. As you already mentioned as long as the load rating is sufficient I dont see the concern.

Because he is wasting gasoline & power.
According to his other threads: He wants more power too.

If his car has ABS system: He just focked that up too.

His sidewalls went from 4.4" to 3.2".
How do you think his ride & handling will be ?

If he did his sizing wrong: Do you think, he really did the other recommended spec's properly ?

PS: When did I say, "As you already mentioned as long as the load rating is sufficient" ?

Agreed. I ran these last winter until I got my winter tires and they did a pretty decent job..and an excellent job in the summertime.
