Your bottom 50% is rather minuscule come to think of it.

Lol, how's the performance lousy?

Anyways, having driven one numerous times (brother owns a 2007 with intake & exhaust), I really think they have great value for their price. Low 13's/high 12's and 4.xx 0-60 for under 40k new is pretty nice. I for one like the interiors (compared to the GA anyways), and the seats are actually bucket seats (unlike the GA, where the "bucket seats" aren't so buckety). Kicker sound system is pretty decent, nav is easy to use. Rear visibility is a bit tough due to the small rear windshield and rear windows, but oh well. If you look at the Charger forums or talk to some owners, you'll find out they're very reliable too.

The 6.1 screams; by far the nicest sounding vehicle I've heard in my life. I've heard it before & after the intake and exhaust, and it sounded amazing before as well, the exhaust just brought out the throatyness and the deepness. It's a beast.

Sadly, I'm sure the $100 and change oil changes would get annoying, as would the price of rubber, but if you can afford it, I'd definitely look into it. Test drive one and you might fall in love.

I guess the direct competition would be the G8, and they're both pretty damn close to even performance wise (I think the G8 GXP just inches out the SRT).

My .02

edit-

Oh my gawd, look @ that horrendous interiorrr!1

Looks (and feels) nice to me.

Hmm, let's see...Pontiac G8 GT oil capacity is 8.8 L / 9.3 US Quarts.

Castrol Syntec 0W-30 synthetic motor oil from Germany is $9.99 Cdn / 1L bottle (only sold in 1L bottles in Canada / 1 US Quart bottles in the US).

Cost of oil: 9x $9.99 Cdn = $89.91 Cdn

Dealer Labour for oil change = $19.99 Cdn
+ recycling fee = $3.00 ?

Cost of oil filter, NAPA Gold = $5.99 US = in Canada $10 ?

Total before taxes = about $123 Cdn ?
(Even an oil change with it on my GA is about $76 ?)

But using the Oil Change Interval predictor will save you some $$$ in not changing it too early.

PS: Who wouldn't use synthetic motor oil in their G8 GT ?
(I heard it is filled from the factory with dino oil.)

PSS: Canadian Tire finally carries Mobil 1 0W-40, for about $10 Cdn per 1L bottle.
