NEW massive sub box and set up

while doing research on the forums i couldn't get a definite answer on the tallest possible box that could fit. i was finally told that the biggest box that is going in there is 16 1/2 inches. well i now can say LIAR! this monster in 17" tall JL Audio HO wedge box made for the w3's and is never coming out and decided to clean up the wiring by putting the amp and cap on the back of the seat. all i can say is this set up is LOUD.

had to take a hammer to these pinch welds to give another 1/2" for the box

what little space is at the top

Well atleast it won't rattle. That thing must weigh the back end down, does it look dropped?

i actually weighted the box, and i can't remember the # but it wieghs less than my old smaller box with 2 12" type R's and it doesn't sit any lower. i don't really use my trunk at all and if i do its smaller stuff. but that back upper panel rattles reeeeeeeeeeal bad and the change in my car rattles aswell so dynomat of that panel is going to happen this summer.

LOL! I can't even imagine the rattle. I only have one 10" in the back and the thing rattles my rearview mirror and window when its turned up..cant imagine your setup. Next time you pull over to a light, see if you rattle the windows of the cars next to you

UPDATE!!!!!!

I just got pulled over and the cop said i shook his windows as i past him going the opposite direction! he looked at my setup and says "i've been wanting something like this for my truck for a while. where is a good JL dealer?" i told him and he let me off!

it was louder than i would normally play it. i just wanted to see how it sounded at that volume and i won't go that loud again

omg thats great! did the cop pull you over just to ask you that, or did he decide to let you go and said that as a way to let you off?

he pulled me over because "he wants a system that loud too" but he said he had no idea on how to go about it. so he told me to keep it down while driving and thanked me for the help.

that is the same way i feel about kicker!

I love kicker. i have two L7 15's and my box wont even fit in between the back cause its so big.

I have everything dynamated pretty well except the back hatch its really bad especially on really deep bass.

If i turn it all the way up you cant even focus on something or you cant see it and its hard to swallow while the bass is going

I love it

if for some reason i was to upgrade i would go with w7's but i really see no need to so i'm not even going to think about it. i need to get 6.5's for the front because i need to hear the lyrics now

Yeah i love on how much you turn up or power kicker or JL as well the bass it always so smooth. no matter how loud it is. it doesn't have the blotchy bass or anything like that its just clean bass!
