Split Remote Wire

So I'm putting in another amp for a sub, so my question is: Can I just tap in a wire into my original remote wire, a few inches from where it goes into the amp? It should work right? I just wanted to check.

if its the same wire you had used before, which is still connected however you had it connected before, then yes it will work if you splice into it

or just connect the other (2nd amps) wire into the 1st amps remote terminal and not bother with the splice...

word times three. just tie into your first amp's remote. works just fine and saves some screwing around doing it other ways.
