Taurus SHO, Your Thoughts?

I am really liking the 2010 Ford Taurus SHO. Something about a Twin Turbo Sedan running 12psi from the dealer makes me happy. 365 HP in a V6.
The styling I also like a lot.

There was one at my work about a month and a half ago, all the salesmen learning about it and bla bla bla, the pics of the car do it no justice, really nice looking car, inside and out.

Looks like one of the best things to come out of ford in years...if not decades

It is heavy at 4346 pounds.
Front wheel drive bias AWD system.
Needs brakes upgrade.
Gasoline mileage: 17 mpg city / 25 mpg highway
& will it sell at it's $37,995 US base price ?

365hp @ 5550 rpm & 350 lb-ft of torque @ 1500-5250 rpm

But it is nice that Ford is thinking outside of the box.
With it being a EcoBoost, direct injection twin-turbo 3.5L V-6 engine: Tuners are going to love it.

Where are they getting the Eco part in EcoBoost?

Supposedly its Eco Friendly because they didnt just drop a 5.3L V8 in the sucker. They turboed a V6 so it supposedly gets better Gas mileage.

Yeah the base price is very high. We will have to see if the quality is worth it.

jalopnik said pretty much the same thing as car and driver. nice car but probably not worth the SHO nameplate. being near 40000 i dont know how many will sell. but it seems like the taurus in general is a nice step up from what it was.

before the engine was called "ecoboost" it was called "twinforce" which is way cooler. but im sure we can all guess why they went with ecoboost.

It's nice, but it's a BIG car.
Take the motor and drivetrain and shoehorn it into a Fusion. Beef up the suspension and brakes to rival a 3-series BMW.
Sell it for $30K and call it the Fusion GT. It'll sell like hotcakes.
You read it here first. (Well, maybe not.)

Nice there bring back the SHO, but its overweight and in with everything that has happened with the economy a 40K Car isn't as easy to sell anymore.

I'd be more interested in a AWD Fusion before a Taurus. Plus i can't afford a 40K anything.

The Old Taurus's (is that how it is) were ugly. But I love the lines of the new one. I think the only issue is Ford made it so expensive. I mean you are up in the Dodge Charger R/T range at that price, and I don't think it competes.

Are they really selling for close to 40 grand - for a taurus? If so that's ****ing ridiculous. I'd buy a new camaro, challenger, turbo 1 series, (and pretty much any other car in the 25-40 price range) WAY the FUCC before that.

So? It's not just a Taurus, it's an SHO. If anything, they should drop the Taurus name and just refer it as the SHO. Tacking the Taurus name to it will kinda turn people off to it. This car is a whole different animal compaired to the normal Taurus it's based off of.
