Wink Honda Civic Type R

Saw this driving home tonight...

It was a Honda "Civic Type R"

The driver was an idiot
I stayed behind him mostly, because of the stupid driving he was doing.
& passed him eventually on the city street.
Glad I didn't try to "blow by" him.
After turning off there was a Police car a few cars behind us, following him (?)

Enjoy the pic.

If it wasn't for the focked up camber/alignment & the "Civic Type R" stickers.
It woulnd't be so bad for a Honda Civic hatch

Thats not even that bad. There's a thread in the local car forum here (tampa racing) that someone started about "fitment and stance". Full of pics idiots keep posting of cars with 9" wide wheels with little 215 tires stretched way out on them, and lowered so far the rear wheels look like they have about 10 degrees of negative camber. The sidewalls are all curved inward because the tread is narrower than the wheel, and the face of the wheel sticks out further and the tires and the fender. Half of them think it looks cool, and the other half are like me and keep telling them it looks retarded and isn't safe. Here's an example of what I'm talking about.

God, Honda's always have the dumbest mods done to them. @ Aaron, I see a lot of Civic's like that in my area as well. Only they all look like somebody took a baseball bat to them. Seriously, the piece of sh!t look is ghey, not cool. Focking christ.

I really hate this mod. I seen a car where the tires looked like they were stretched 3".

You got to remember most of their cars don't have any interior. Or simple stuff like A/c and power stearing. My friends eg civic only has two front seats.

That stretched tire mod is one of the dumbest and ugliest things I have ever seen, I have always hated it. I usually try to cram as much tire on a wheel that I can...

aaron's picture actually looks kinda of cool, i wouldnt dream of doing it to my own car though. partially due to negatively affecting my handling and also due to the mostly stupid look of it.

?

It ISN't a "Civic Type R"; because there is no such thing in Canada.

Later model years of Honda Civics, there was a SiR hatch; & that is not it.

from: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Honda_Civic_Si
Quote:
In North America the Type R name has never been used for Civics, and the Si/SiR badge continues to signify the highest performance trim.

Damn MJ, you know everything. But even so, what we still don't know, is what was under the hood. For all we know, there probably is a B18 motor in there, or hell, maybe he did a K20 swap. Either way, I still don't like it. I don't care how fast they can be, I can't stand the style of Honda's. I'll laugh when all those morons with streched tires hit a pothole and focks up their wheels.

In Japan it is a Civic Type R.

It's no different than someone in Australia making fun of you driving a Pontiac G8.

don't drift racers use a lot of negative camber on their cars to help them drift?

There is a JDM Honda Civic Type R.

But I am talking about the car in my original post.

That the car in Japan is different.

You do realize what the 427 stands for, right ?

427 ci / 7.0L LS7 V8 engine from the Corvette C6 Z06.

That would be a hell of a conversion
