back to the original topic, if you could get someone to cover the install cost and make the custom parts, i would go for the 3800/4t65e swap.... it would be cheaper than building a 3400 up, since you could find the motor/tranny in a junk yard for a resonable price... as for 3400/3800 cylinder head flow, boost can make up for a lot of that...
my .02 though i would like to see a KIT to put a 4t65e in our cars with the 3400... that would be KICK ASS!! and as a mechanical engineer, i want to do a mechanic/builder shop on the side since i can't find my dream job working for a top fuel team.... yet... and that is why i got into mech eng. my job pays the bills, the mechanic work would be a hobby that i would do for fun on the side, not so much for moneyLast edited by BOOTMASTER; 07-12-2009 at 10:33 AM. |

Same here. I think you'd spend just as much if not more making a 3800/4T65E work in the car as you would building a 3400.
