Of coarse YOU see fine at night, everyone else is blinded by you. I cant wait for you to get pulled over (in your own car) By a bad day cop, and see what happens.

I've never been bothered by the 5-0 about my headlights. I've gone by numerous Suffolk cops, Sheriffs, even a few State Troopers, and nothing. Even when I'm behind them, they don't do anything. As long as I don't do something stupid around one of them, they can't pull me over just because of headlights.

Thanks

I like them. They have a much better light pattern than the black housings that I had before. Still halogen in mine, but they have nice cut off.

I think you were asking me? If so then the answer is no. The factory lens housing is good enough, and it is bright as heck with the HID I don't mind the glare because that is the other driver's problem I live in the county and there are not any street lights in my neighborhood. Blind away!

And when you blind somebody coming down a country road and they end up in the ditch I guess that is their fault.

I don't think HID's should be used unless they are in a projector housing of some sort to control the light.

HID's but if you could get a good set of projectors and be able to use HID's in the projectors without it melting that would be the way to go

Relax man... I was only kidding. The lights are not that bright to where they blind people. FYI everyone should know that you can manually adjust the beam pattern by tightening or lossening the torx bolt for the aiming patten. I made sure to adjust mine down an extra 3 to 4 degrees so that the light doesn't smack someone right in their cabin..

I don't see how you could critique whether or not the HIDs should come packaged any different, but you are entitled to your opinion. Aftermarket HIDs are one of the best upgrades for sorry OEM halogens. They look good in both projectors and standard lenses.

Here is a new shot! The fogliamps have been replaced with a Pilot driving lens that also has an H7 HID bulb at 6000k. They are brighter than the stock headlight housing with a 9007 bulb at 4300K

Take a picture of your beam cutoff and you'll realize just how poor of an idea it is to just slap HIDs in. The glare with HIDs in stock GA headlights is horrid- I've seen it in person on several different GA's, and every single one shot light in all directions.

I still say do it right or don't do it at all.

One of my favorite pics to whip out in HID arguments:

That's all they do is look good in stock housings. As for usable light. . I had a blind spot between my lights in the shape of a "V". I could see all street sings and markers fine, that was a good thing because i could not see that road. I got tired of them after a week and put my silver star ultras back in. Played around the the the 3 adjustments a little more and they work way better than my HID setup would ever work.

But that kit was the tits for a quick second

my lights looked just like that, but i want to see the pattern when facing a wall like in DR. Fab pics.

Guy, the problem isn't with how well YOU see as much as it is with the fact that you're blinding other drivers like no other. If you want to half-arse something and it only effects you, thats one thing- but doing something like throwing HIDs in halogen housings is just being selfish and dangerous. Not to mention how illegal it is.

Like I said, do it right or don't do it at all.

I refuse to give up hope on these kids. I need to help them see the error in their ways so they stop blinding me.
