All I am saying is those JDM Honda Civic Type R versions never made it to Canada; nor USA IIRC.
Whether under a different name badge or not.

It just makes me say failed. But they seem happy about tires lasting a year.

After turning off there was a Police car a few cars behind us, following him (?)

Enjoy the pic.

If it wasn't for the focked up camber/alignment & the "Civic Type R" stickers.
It woulnd't be so bad for a Honda Civic hatch

Honestly the car is clean. There's nothing wrong with it. He wanted to do a Type R replica which seems pretty spot on. Personally if it was my car, I'd keep the badges shaved off & went w/ a smaller duckbill spoiler. Slapped in a K-series swap w/ a GT42 and go v8 hunting on the highway.. I mean at the racetrack.

The sidewalls are all curved inward because the tread is narrower than the wheel, and the face of the wheel sticks out further and the tires and the fender. Half of them think it looks cool, and the other half are like me and keep telling them it looks retarded and isn't safe. Here's an example of what I'm talking about.

Look up JDM VIP style/look. Then you'll see where part of the craze came from. Japanese high end luxury vehicles with big power, slick looks, crazy wheel tuck, and phat sexy lips. Then it caught on with the lower end cars.

Also the thing is, they may have ridiculous camber and rubber band tire choices for their tastes, they still have HULLUVA lot better wheel choice than the majority of this message board, amongst other things.

Whereas over here people go gaga for camaro style mufflers, altezza lights, projectors, and gauges so that you can see what time it is.

Oh I know all about where the style came from. A lot of it actually started in Europe with VW's and such that wanted wider wheels and tires but they were very limited in the wheel choices that would fit their cars, so they took wider oem wheels from different models and had to use tires that where narrower than ideal for the wheel width in order to fit inside the fenders. It doesn't mean I still don't think it looks retarded. Especially on a compact that's not a VIP car. Should we do everything to a car just to make it look just like cars in Japan? Only if you're a ricetard.

My point is cars in other countries looked that way for a reason. It's stupid to make a car look like that only for the purpose of looking like cars from other countries, when the mod serves no other functional purpose. Especially if you have other choices in wheels and tires that fit properly.

They still pick up helluva a lot sexier wheels than the majority of this board. I never went for or against on it looking stupid.

Speaking of wheels, cars and such, here is an "unorthodox" combo that I think looks great. Porsche 964 on KW Variant 3 Coilovers sitting low on some, yes thats right, TE37s.

Love that BMW.

I don't think the term "VIP" works everywhere though. Having "VIP style" in Vegas just means that you get to walk to the front of the buffet line with all the other 'VIP' players card members who have their cards bungee'd to their belt loops.
