Sorry dude... just wear sunglasses at night! I don't really see how you can be "blinded" if the proper adjustments to the lights are done. I have been running mine for the last year with no problems. Neither have I been blinded by the lights from anyone elses aftermarket lights.

As far as legality... do you guys live in areas where these are not legal or something? The only thing in Memphis that you can get a citation for are
strobe lights or any flashing blue ones.

HIDs are illegal if they are not in vehicles that came from the factory with them, last I checked.

How can you not see that your headlights blind oncoming traffic? The light shouldn't be shining in every direction, just at the road. Go take a picture of the cutoff (or lack thereof) against a wall at night, and then you'll see.

I don't have that much glare, mainly because of the black housings I have. Every single projector I've seen in god awful looking, until they make once that's decent, I'm happy with what I got.

I'm talking about your HID bulbs that are designed to ONLY be put in HID projector housings. Yeah, it works, and light shines out, but it's illegal, and makes it difficult for oncoming traffic to see because of the glare. But, as you already stated, you don't care what happens to other drivers, right? As long as you can see better.

It's pointless to argue he doesn't realize that he's essentially driving with brights on. He's got your typical American attitude of "Me, me, me." He doesn't care that he's blinding oncoming traffic. It is extremely evident by his photo's that he will blind every single on coming car, but whatever. Maybe it'll take someone dying for him to realize that "Hey, I am an idiot."

The worst part is that he knows he's doing it.

"Idiot" whatever dude... I guess that makes you not the average and "typical"
American with your attitude either. I was only joking about blinding people. The dammned lights are bright, but far from blinding. The stock lens and halogens stink, and you can argue whatever you like about them. the photo that I took was about ten feet away so naturally the glare you see is a combination of the camera pic and the distance. Please get over yourself......

I am done here. I have never seen sso many "haters" on a forum. I just wanted folks to see that HIDs do look good on a GA, but everyone has their own opinions. Have fun ladies... enjoy your mods.

Sorry... last post. This just depends on where you reside. Law enforcement will usually not hijack a driver unless they are doing something stupid. There are so many cars on the road today that have these, and there is not a valid way to determine which vehicles should have them and which ones should not unless you go through inspection. Some places make you go through inspection, and they may deny your tags so I can see that.

I have been from Memphis to Dallas, and not one problem with my kit. Hell, I keep getting compliments on them at work.

Here is my last retro, I would say it is pretty OEM looking and uses all OEM HID components. Performance is going to be much better then anything out there but of course the cost is much higher. The grand am's halogen reflectors simply suck to begin with and adding HID bulbs to them may cause "more light" but its going to be even more scattered as the factory. There are hot spots, dim areas and then random glare that is everywhere. Same with the ebay projector lights. The projectors are designed for a halogen bulb and putting a hid kit in them is the same idea as stock reflector. It may be a better output but it is still going to throw light in spots that you don't want and as some have experienced, damage the lenses. Anyway, not trying to hype up the lights that I have made but just trying to educate since most dont even realize that all hid kit bulbs are the same D2S bulb on a different base and even though it may be the "right size" it is simply the right one to secure to the housing. In the end it is your choice, hid kits are becoming ridiculously cheap and most can live with the down falls, but its your choice how you want to set up your lighting.

low, low+fog, high beam (click)
holy sh*t!!!!
they are the brightest lights i think i have ever seen on any car period.

they look damn good on the car too

Well, what do you expect ?

He put driving lenses in the place of his fog lights.

If that doesn't say it all; then the HID bulbs in the stock headlight housing does

You know what, you're right. I AM the prick for trying to help people out. I should probably just sit back and let people do whatever they want, regardless of how illegal or unsafe it is. I'll just do that. Then you don't have to worry about "haters" trying to be helpful.
