GT1 "Totaled"

Hello all. This is my first posting. I recently crashed my GT1. While the damage is not overly extensive, the insurance wants to total it. So I am hoping to keep it, and refurbish it. From all the damage, if anyone can make suggestions of where to find the appropriate pieces, it would be highly appreciated!

I currently have the lights in the grille, and had hopes of getting a RamAir hood, and mounting some more lights in the scoops. I currently am a volunteer firefighter, and completely authorized to operate with these lights, before anyone inquires into their legality.

Thanks for stopping by, and any an all suggestions are welcome!!

Looks like it just needs a hood for the most part. Insurance companies are annoying really. That car is easily fixable.

Thanks for the welcome guys!

The rims as Focal. http://www.spoiledcars.com/rims/FOCAL/Focal--F-5.asp
These rims were on the car when I purchased it last year. Unfortunately, the chrome started peeling off shortly after I bought the car, so that's another item I need to take care of eventually.

The upper tie rod is also broken. That, the bumper, headlight, hood are the major items.

I am hoping to track down these items on my own and get it repaired for a lot less so that I can afford that RamAir hood as part of the "repairs"/upgrades.

Yeah, that doesn't look totaled at all! Mine was way worse than that. I'd have to see a pic with the hood up to be able to tell better if there is any damage to the frame or radiator/AC condenser. Still it doesn't look that bad and should be relatively easy to fix. Good luck!

I'm digging the rims. They're different. Have you thought about getting them refinished or painted?

I did in fact want to get them re-chromed as I liked them too! Wasn't sure on the pricing for getting stuff re-chromed, and also have no other wheels or tires to keep on the car while it is being re-finished.

Major items that need replacing according to insurance estimate:
Upper Tie Bar
Rail Assembly
Headlight
Hood (want to get a scoop hood)
AC Condenser (possibly)
Radiator (possibly)
Bumper and Bumper Cover

If anyone knows the best place to pick up a scoop hood, let me know, and I can judge from that pricing whether I can actually afford it with all other necessary repairs (will need a hood no matter what) ...
