I would have an aneurysm if I did that to the HU I plan on getting soon.

Which reminds me, will this fit nicely in a 01 Grand Am GT? Or am I going to have to get that dash replacement?

My understanding is an 01 is a double din dash.
99-00 are 1.5 din So you should be able to get the in dash screen.

I hate the 1.5's, there soooooo small theres nothing to them. I want a big screen.

Well, from the day i had it put in it was a pos. Within the 1st few days it wouldnt go in all the way, and a few months later the screen started to go black when a DVD was in too long. And it juss started havin more and more problems over the next few months till it wouldnt come out on its own anymore and you would have to pull it out manualy, so that last time i was havin a hard time pulling it out so i got mad n yanked it really hard and when it came out i slapped it up hard and from that point on the screen wont come on at all and i guess i also broke the spring thing that makes it go up and down.

But it seems RP03 might.... From what he was told of course

Hell of a story, but I am not innocent myself, I dimmed the stock digital display when I was having problems with my BCM. The car would not start and I was Mid way in a 8 hr long drive. Say the least I threw my keys at the dash and knock out a LED behind that display

I don't think I've ever destroyed something becaus eI got pissed at it. Now my son... he's a different story. IDK how many peices of electronics, controllers, games, etc he's destroyed because he got pissed at sh1t. I stopped buying stuff like that for him.

I've still got a rocking chair and a stuffed dog that I got when I was 5.
