When I was 14, I was worried about which girl to make out with and how I was getting to the Sadie Hawkins dance on Saturday. Now that I'm 26, I have a wife, two pets, rent, utilities, credit card bills, student loans, and other real things to worry about. I work 50-60 hours a week and it still doesn't seem to be enough. Being 26 isn't all it's cracked up to be...

****, im 22 and it's pretty dull

the things I look forward to these days "for fun" are working out, getting wasted with my guy friends, and hanging out with my gf. Other than that... its relatively dull (for now).

That's not my attitude on life, that's just my attitude about how I feel regarding freedom... I'm pretty set academically; I have a 3.8 overall and hopefully I'm going to Univ. of Wisconsin Madison or Syracuse. My goal is to be a mechanical/electrical engineer in the automotive field or something similar. Ultimately I want to be high up in a big corporation or own my own engineering firm. I'm taking college Physics and Calculus at UAF while doing the rest of my classes in high school to finish my senior year. My day is school, work, sports, homework, and working on my car. Then weekends I like to go have fun like any other teenager.

I don't know how me saying "it must be so cool to be 26" turned into me becoming a lowlife jackass that will be a failure in life.

And my profile says 14 because for some reason my brother made this account on here, and when my other account got perma-banned, I started using this one. And I'm 18 in a couple months fyi.

FTR, when I graduated HS I had a 4.6GPA and a near 1400 on the SATs with 1 try. There's a whole other side of me that only those on the forum that know me have seen.

I'm not ALL fun and games...

dude are you serious?!? 4.6? thats ridiculous, what do you do for a job dude, for real. and ya i have a friend like you, except he's extremely nerdy and not funny. he got a 2241 on his first try on the SAT (its out of 2400 now).

FWIW, GPA, SAT, ACT, and which college you attend do not necessarily correlate to the having or not having of a spectacular job... Just because someone is "smart" on paper does not mean they are an effective individual socially, ethically, or morally.
