I don't think its a GT1 for sure. First off- its a 2005, and in 05, you could only get the GT/GT1 in a coupe. Second- the steering wheel is not leather wrapped- all GT/GT1's come with a leather wrapped steering wheel. Third- If it was a GT1, it would have the steering wheel radio controls built into the steering wheel, standard equipment on a GT1.

I sold the wheel to alex on the other forum as I was going to use a aftermarket wheel, and I also sold the leather seats when I installed my 4 buckets.

The GA looks pretty good. Not feeling the fogs and I've never bena fan of the combo fogs in the GP. Looks too busy for me. I'm digging the shifter and the G6 vents. The voerlays look a bit busy to me, but stand out as uniquely different.

Do you have plans to finish the back seat area since the buskets exposed a lot of otherwize hidden rough edges?

yes I have someone that is going to be making a consale almost like the one in the SC/T concept. as for behind the seats I am making a rear wall going all the way to the doors. somewhat like the concept as well.

Still, they didn't make any GT sedans in 2005. They only made SE sedans for fleet sales or GT/GT1 coupes. So either your car isn't a 2005, or it's an SE with a GT conversion and not a GT1, because they made no GT sedans in 2005.

Easy way to tell... look at the 4th and 5th spots in your VIN code. If they are "NV" then it is a GT1.

NE=SE
NF=SE1
NG=SE2
NW=GT
NV=GT1

btw, if you sold your wheel with radio controls 'cause you were gonna use an aftermarket wheel why would you re-install a stock wheel then? Same with the seats. Why would you take leather out to install crappy stock fabric buckets? Doesn't make sense to me.

I'm very curious to see what his VIN says now. I'd be surprised if it really was an 05 GT1.

I agree.

Does anyone know what a Canadian SE speedometer and GT speedometer go up to, since I know they were different for U.S. vehicles? (I'd look but can't search well from my phone.)

Here's the GM spec info for all 2005 Grand Am's.
