Impreza meet I was at

This past weekend was a NASIOC (North American Subaru Owner's Club) meet that I went to. We met up at Miller Park, cruised through downtown milwaukee, parked down by the lakefront, and then like 5 or 6 of us went on a ruckus causing cruise through UW Milwaukee heh. here are das pics:

very nice. I know a dentist around here who has an 04 STi that put the WRX hood on it and took off the wing. Looks very good. And he's one of the better drivers at the AutoX meets in the area.

the subaru community is an interesting one i think. their cars (the impreza for example) attract owners of all ages, backgrounds, and financial situations. its sweet seeing people that could be my parents driving these things around. and the reality is, theres no reason why older people cant. they ride nice, easy to shift/drive, and are a great all wheather car. i guess thats why they also make the Forester, Outback, Legacy, and Tribeca though.

Hey who let the Evo in there??

I guess those doctors haven't heard of the Legacy GT - since Subaru never advertised it.
The wife's '06 Impreza 2.5i is fun to drive, but nowhere near as nice as my '05 LGT.

sadly theres no other kind . iv always liked the sedans, i feel the kinda screwed it up with the latest body style (sedan wise) where as the older ones have more attitude i think.

not gonna lie though, a blacked out black hatch looks slick as ****

Rumor is there will be a WRX STI sedan for 2011.

I also love the older Imprezas. If I could go back in time I'd buy a 2.5RS instead of a GA GT.

Yeah, I like the look of the older 2.5RS Impreza over a lot of the newer ones. They were lighter too. Only problem was the weak engines and drive trains. I've seen some pretty sick ones with newer STI drive train swaps though. That's what I would do if I got one.

Here's a good example. Best thing is... it's a two door unlike newer imprezas. And it's fully gutted and caged.
