I believe I read the same thread and this is the way I choose to do it. But yes, upper bracket only from the 3400. Instead of three bolts to the tranny on that side, you will not have the lower one from the lower bracket.

correct, that tranny to engine bracket has two individual parts, the lower part no longer matches up so you can only use the upper part which still works and helps the process. And what was a pain for me was just getting the engine dropped down and matching up the holes to the tranny to mount on the bell housing. of course when i did it i was in a one car garage and it was 40 degrees and raining.
I do have the PDA dyno software and it definitely shows a better power band in the higher RPM range. |

Not yet, I got some more work to do first. Also, its not too motivating when your friends are running 12 second street cars and I'm still working on the GA. My car's powerband is rocking and torque gives me a nasty little burnout.
