Wink Skinny Driver Mod

Anyone ever try it ?
Never heard of this until now.

I wonder how much it would cost me ?

How much did you pick-up in the 1/4 mile ?

To those in the 11's and 12's.

Damn, I am handicapped

I'm sure your dad is a nice person, but I wouldn't want to see him wet. Take that for what it's worth.

General rule of thumb is that removing 100 lbs. from your vehicle will pick up a tenth in the quarter. There's MANY variables with that. Put two GA's up against each other with exactly the same mods, same miles, same tires, same track conditions and two drivers with similar driving abililties. If one driver is 100 lbs. and the other is 300 lbs., the GA with the 100 lb. driver has a definite advantage. Saw a guy on Pass Time that was well over 300 lbs. that had his son drive his blown Nova... cuz he was about 120 at best.

I was thinking of me getting skinny

I am about 230 lbs.

PS: GM (North America) did me a favour.
By only including a tire slim/glue & an air pump in my spare tire holder area.
I go & ordered from Australia, a 17" steel space saver spare tire & jack tool kit.
That added about 50 lbs to my trunk.
I had a GM Canada engineer ask me if I lowered my car 2 weekends ago at a car rally cruise run
He also owned a Pontiac G8 GT (but with a Borla catback exhaust).

I'm 6'-4" and go about 215-230 depending on what season it is. Summer time, I'm a little lighter. Thanksgiving/Christmas... forget it... I'm a porker. Luckily I drive a GA with 137,000 miles on it. I don't have to worry about going fast.

About 5'7"

(I used to have quite of bit of muscle mass before, in my younger days. example: Like in my legs. I have been called a Horse before because of them.)

Taller than Greg Farz tho

Preverbial Silver Lining

There are so many variables... matter of fact, more weight in the FWD GA might actually help traction!!!

Grab a cheesesteak, coke and some chips before the next trackday in your GA!

I remember the days of being 130lbs. That was when I was 18-15.. Now I'm hitting 215 and trying to lose weight to meet Army standards..

I haven't been 130 since elementary school. I was 180 by my sophomore year of high school and 195 when I graduated. Sitting around 217 now.

Ha! I was always the tall, skinny kid in the back of school photos. I was 150 lbs. soaking wet when I graduated high school. I can attribute that to playing a year-round athlete and a ridiculously fast metabolism, but mostly to the fact I was a distance runner. Did one marathon, three half-marathons, and many 10k's and 5k's. Basketball and baseball conditioning just kept me on pace. That was before I got to college and discovered binge drinking. Put on 55 lbs. from August to February that year and got to 205. Then I started working out again and stayed at a solid 190. Yeah, then I got married a little over two years ago and it all went to crap. My wife is an excellent cook and she feeds me well. In fact, I'm eating some leftover homemade pizza right now as I'm typing this post. Sittin' at husky 220 now and happy...
