is $320 too much for a pair of carbon fiber fenders for you?

Yeah. Less frequent blinker fluid changes and more street race instigations.

I'd be surprised if those didn't actually weigh MORE than the stock fenders. And I'm sure they won't fit as well. Only reason I would buy them was if I had a black car and want the CF look. And I'd rather have those than the ones with the vents in them. Vents look weird on these cars because the fenders are so short and there isn't much room behind the wheel arch. They don't look like they belong there.

If I even win these, the only reason I'm bidding is because I have a black car, and someone backed into my car at work. So I need a new fender anyway, so I'll come out about the same after buying a new fender and paint.

Again, these were based off my car and they don't fit perfectly as Spy and I are the only ones that I know that have ever installed them. Because of the slight increase in size they often will get pinched when the doors open/close. You'll need to be very careful mounting so that this doesnt happen.

As for weight difference, Spy weighed the OEM vs these and there was a weight difference and the CF ones were lighter IIRC.

Geez Aaron- you're quite the cereal pisser arent you?

Last note- like anything CF made for the GA you'll def. want to clearcoat these parts or they will fade over time. Plus clearcoat is shiny!

Well, I've had the stock fenders off my car and there's hardly anything to them. They are so small and the sheet metal is so thin that they don't weigh much. No one makes quality CF parts for this car, most are just a single sheet of CF over top of crap fiberglass chop, so they are actually thicker and weigh more. Even if they do weigh less... what's the difference, like one or two pounds? I can't see spending that much money to save maybe four pounds of weight, it's not worth it. When you add fitment issues to it, they just sound like a PITA to me, and IMO you are better off keeping the stock fenders (if there is nothing wrong with them).

When it comes to cf parts for our car, i think its done for looks and isn't about the weight. Like you said there is such little weight difference it doesn't seem worth the money. Making the only reason to purchase these for looks. If i had a CF hood i would consider it. but me being a broke ass, unemployed college student, its kinda hard for me to spend some serious cash on my ride at the moment.

Exposed cf fenders will look like **** on any color grand am, unless there is some kind of 'custom' paint done. I don't see a reason to buy them seeing that they're going to fit like ****, and not really save any weight - even if they are painted body color.
