I can't turn it to the right position unfortunately.. If the filiing doesn't work, I'll be forced to take the thng apart and I'm kinda skittish on doing that..

I found a great video on the installation of these particular headlights.
It does not include the LED wiring however, still trying to find that. Has anyone had experience with HIDs in these housings? I would like to know if they will not dmg the headlights and if they project the light correctly. |

If anyone can find a vid on the LED wiring that would be perfect. I have a general idea on what to do, but I plan on using HID kits so I am not 100% sure at this time.

They are fairly simple, and straight forward though. The bulb that he took out you will connect your leds to that. I cut and spliced in retrospect I would have rather bought or made a plug in adapter though. And the Halo's I ran out to a relay then connected up to a switch.

All right... so I installed the DRL Kit and always run high beams on for my current HIDs, basically ---- do the new projectors use both high and low beams???
![]() So the wiring I am missing now is basically power to the highs? Thx! |

Cut the **** out of the headers panel... Fitment is fine. But I am not sure if one of my ballasts or HID Lights or both are shot on one side... Spent too much time on this already and now the parts are shoddy???!!!! Arrgggh.

I have a quick question. Can the customgrandam.com projectors handle a 6000k HID kit w/out melting? Can they be converted to HID at all? I'm not liking the low beam projectors, they aren't bright enough. I run around with high beams on all the time, aimed low, of course. I will sell this set and buy a new set if I have to. I would rather buy new tails & the Xenon HID conversion (if possible w/ out melting) instead of a whole new set of headlamps.
I'm gonna swap out the H1 bulbs to the SS Ultra bulbs and see if that helps first. Last edited by GAGT_99; 10-23-2009 at 01:16 AM. |

I went to DDM Tuning and I get two options here. 35w and 55w kits. I understand the 55w is a longer bulb. What are you running? I want to go 55w @ 6000k if it won't melt. This is my only worry. David from customcrandam.com emailed me and told me to get a H3 HID kit. If you suggest the DDM kits I will go with them.
Let me know if you have 35w or 55w and which one you think I should go with. Thanks bro! |

I only have the 35w in mine, I wanted the 55w but didnt see it when I ordered.
I would guess it gets hotter, but I think the housing can still handle it. Though if you sit in heavy traffic most of your drive and live in a warmer area it may make a difference.

I live in Pittsburgh and I sit in traffic sometimes coming home from work. I'll probably stick with the 35w for now. I'll grab up the DDM 35w if you think they are worth it. Anyone here using the Xenon kits? Are they worth it?

The DDMTunning kits are worth it, there not that expensive either really.
