Well lets see... the audi weighs 3957lbs where as the caddy only weighs 3850lbs... but the caddy has a 556hp supercharged 6.2L V8 where as the audi only has a 420hp 4.2L V8.

I think it's pretty self explanatory.

And even with that power and displacement difference the caddy gets better epa fuel mileage rating than the audi.

And the caddy is faster around the nurburgring than any other production sedan in the world including the BMW M5, so it really shouldn't be surprising it's faster than an audi RS4.

real simple, the RS4 isn't the sh1t that people thinks it is. The CTS-V truly is a world power in the 4door sedan market. The only car to beat it now may be the new Porsche Panamera.

Right now they have $5000 rebates on CTS-V (plus could get Employee pricing).......................................... ...........................yes, I already contemplated trading the GTO and making it my daily driver. But I read in winter you need to change the wheels and tires, I aint farting around with that. That's almost $3000 in accessories to buy (4 wheels and 4 good winter tires).

Shoot, just get some steelies and some winter rubber. It'll be under $1000 easily.

I think you'd be kicked outta the Cadillac Club if you put hideous steel rims on that car. Besides, the last thing Bob wants his neighbors thinking is that hes a broke-ass.

Umm, no

You need wheels that clear the BIG brakes.

So, winter tires + wheels & tire pressure sensors add up!
I know it did for my ride.

Wow..alot of biased comments on that page.

Have any of you guys seen the interior in that new CTS. Probably the nicest interior of any sub $90k car I have seen

exactly...

I'm not putting steelies on a $67k car for 4-5 months out of the year even if they did clear the breaks. I'd need to buy a second set of the non-chromed stockers plus 4 good winter tires.

Wow, you need 19" wheels & tires for the new CTS-V !

I priced out, at Tire Rack:
255/40R19" Bridgestone Blizzak LM-60 winter performance tires at $252 each = $1008
19X8.5 ASA GT1 Bright Silver Painted wheels at $199 each = $796
Tire Pressure Monitor sensors at $37 each = $148
= $1,952 US + shipping & taxes.

Or you could store the CTS-V for winter and get something used for a winter beater...

Something 4wd from subaru would fit the bill nicely. Throw some blizzaks on the biznitch and go!

Sorry, call me pretentious, but I'm also not buying a $67k car to drive for 6-7 months...then go buy a $2000 hunk of sh1t rattle trap to cruise around in for 4-5. I'd be embarrassed.

Car I was contemplating (went with a light interior for once instead of black), would have traded the GTO and used the RX7 sale as a down payment.

I would totally consider you less of a ricer if you got rid of the RX7 and got the V, Bob. But you still wouldn't have my respect nor my anal virginity.

D Out

On a side note in terms of looks I prefer the 550 over the M5. I actually sorta liked the last gen CTS-V styling a bit more but this gen's isn't a slouch either.

And for the record I hate most other BMW guys- love the cars but geezus. At least Caddie owners aren't aristocratic, Republican, loafer wearing snobs like 50% of the guys on Bimmer forums are. If people think that GAGT is rough, they've never placed a foot in a BMW arena.

what do you mean "if I got rid of" It's long gone brother, Benji's are in my bank account. Next summer when the car itch always hits I'll contemplate a new toy. Next will 99% sure be back to american muscle. Only others I could see would be a GTR or 911, but they be to balluh fo' me still.

Oh- I didn't know you actually got rid of it already. For some reason I feel like you were getting paid in installments and you were only halfway there. *shrug* Gettin' old. Can't remember ****. Fine. You're less of a ricer but I'm still not bending over for you.

F the GTR. If you're gonna roll like that go for Z06, 4S or Turbo. The GTR is cool and all but it's a humongous car and too boy racerish for the most part. Why not something bigger with four doors? GS4xx, 5+7 Series, or even one of the S series line from MB? STS-V?
