since its the topic of brake conversions i have a question.... i have a 91 grand prix se and it has dual piston calipers which it obviously doesnt need with the 3.1. and i have such small brakes on my 00 grand am i was wondering if the brakes from my grand prix would bolt up to the grand am. i already know theres a clearance issue with the wheel cuz i put the rims from the grand am on the grand prix and it wouldnt fit it was hitting on the caliper... so i plan on putting the stock grand prix rims on it instead. theyre the old school aluminium pontiac 5 spoke rims. currently i have buick lucerne rims on it....... not really what i would like to have on the car....

Just curious, why did you have to take over my thread for this?
There's a button that says "New Thread" for this.

i didnt intend to make it a big deal i was more just asking a would it work or not cuz its a similar topic and didnt wanna make a whole new thing for what i thought was a simple yes or no question.
edit all i really wanted to know was if it would bolt up or not. |

Then make a new thread instead if searching doesn't find you anything.
It's a lot more useful than going off topic in somebody else's thread. It's not that hard, dunno why you're being lazy.

This is for an F-body conversion, not Grand Prix. -ahem- Back to the subject at hand, and I'll ignore the noob's posts. I can run the F-body dual pistons just fine off of the stock master cylinder, correct? I am a bit worried about the extra stress it will undertake.

definately. just bleed it correctly and you wont have any issues. ssbc and baer both of which dont add any modification to the master. and their bigger.
