No idea. Last I ever looked at that truck they only had an I5 available, and I was thinking they should have offered the I6 that was in the Trailblazer, since it was basically the exact same engine with one more cylinder. Of course, the colorado/canyon haven't had the greatest reliability record either and their resale sucks... but that would mean you could pick one up really cheap to do the swap.

Prob not too bad. I've been wanting to do a s10 lsx swap for years now. Change motor mounts, buy a premade wire harness, trans mount.....There are complete step by step manuals to complete the swap.

It's very amusing how slow an N/A rotary is. A buddy of mine had an 89 RX-7 GXL. Slow as balls. I'd always pull like three car lengths on his ass. Keep telling me to wait till he gets boost. He never did boost it, and recently sold it, and is now rocking a Grand Cherokee. More

I am guessing it isn't a SRT-8 version ?

I saw recently a women driving one.
I was thinking, damn she likes fast SUV's.

Edit: Just reading a review of a '10 Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT-8...

Quote:
Motivating the SRT8 is a high-output Hemi V8 engine, displacing 6.1 liters and pumping out 420 horsepower and an equal 420 pound-feet of torque.
...
Acceleration from zero to 60 miles per hour happens in under five seconds. The top speed is around 150 mph.

Due to all the high-performance hardware, the SRT8 is not the most efficient on fuel. It consumes 11 miles per gallon in the city and 14 on the highway.
Holly sh1t that thing uses a lot of gasoline !

My 07 ZQ8 has the 3.7L I-5. They had the 2.9L I-4 option from 04-Present then the 3.5L I-5 from 04-06 then the slightly bigger 3.7L came. Now they have the 5.3L V8. Such light trucks and such powerful motors. Oh yeah and regarding reliability dont even get me started on my Tranny going out at 30,000KMS. Glad to see it go this April. Even more glad when I pick up a 03' Pathfinder LE tom

It's a Chrystler. I don't think any of their vehicles are fuel efficient.

That 6.1L Hemi is worse because the Cherokee is AWD.

Yeah, its only available in a fully loaded 4 door 4WD package, I think. They should make them like they made the Dakota R/Ts.... or at least have the option to get a completely base one with the 5.3

That would be sweet. A bare bones standard cab, shortbed Colorado, with the 5.3L. Have steelies on for good measure.
