go with the 88-98 chevy/gmc models.

i just picked up a 98 silverado with a 3" lift, extra set of bigger wheels and tires, gm cowl induction hood and a flat fiberglass topper with 97,xxx miles for 8k.

i love it, you would too

it was mentioned in another recent thread, otherwise I wouldn't have known about it. I had a good read. You'd wait two minutes and wonder where everyone went

It won't be the same. This place is full of kids now.

Plus, there really aren't that many meaningful threads anymore.

both of those truck models are pretty good for the price .. my dad owned a gm dealership and i have had lots of friends with s'10's ranging from 2wd regular the sport ones and 4x4's over the years including my brother who had 2 and also my grandpa who had 2.. those 4.3 engines are bullet proof and pretty powerful for the size of the truck.. 190hp or 200hp if they were ordered with the better 4.3 engine option. gas mileage ya i wouldnt expect much better than 14-18 in the city.. mayb 23-28 on the highway depending what rearend is in the truck and if it is in good shape or not. Dont get a 4 banger though unless you are keepin it in the city.. those things are brutal on the highway if you get into any wind or hills..
