There is a thread on cutting the headlight panel on here to make the projuectors fit. You'll be able to fit and secure the OEM lights back after cutting it too.

Also do them lights use the 9007 bulb or are they H1's. I just ordered my 9007 HID kit but I wanted to get them headlights. Guess I should have thought about that before I ordered them...

I just bought some ebay projectors without the HID kit, pretty cheap, but have a decent cutoff, and I will be modding the cutoff to my likings soon, but curious as to why these aren't recommended for HID use? I am going to be getting a single beam 35w kit at 6000K soon, and I've read all over the place that HID (at least 35w kits) are actually cooler in temp than halogen, and that the kit I am getting directly replaces the halogen bulbs, and will replicate the same beam pattern, just a lot brighter.

The eBay projectors are meant for halogens, so they're designed to disperse the output of halogens. HIDs are not going to disperse as well in those as they would in HID projectors. If you've ever seen HIDs in a G8, GTO, Mazda..or whatever comes stock with halogen projectors, you'll notice they still have the glare factor and look nothing like that of a BMW or anything else equipped with factory HIDs.

oh. so will the light output still be brighter? I have virtually no glare above the cutoff now, so will the HID light glare somehow if i upgrade?
